Good Morning All. Well, boating went well yesterday. 5 boats to play with. Best being 40 some feet with triple 600hp V12s. Just test boats, but a great way to spend the afternoon.
Actually the stuff I tried didn't even need refrigerated till it was opened. Not as good as just made regular stuff, but not bad.. I like those sausage strips. Again, not bacon, and not the same as a juicy sausage link. But good. I keep the pack in the freezer and thaw just enough to peel a couple off the ends and put right back in the freezer. Good morning
Looks like window caulking will have to wait till at least Saturday. Likely thunderstorms later today and more tomorrow. I guess I will finish attaching floorboards in shed. If stuff isn't too wet, get things inside and organizing. Figure out what to do with the scraps...
Anyone have experience getting rid of bees in the ground? Near the back corner of the property I saw them last week while out with the pup. Luckily before I mowed the grass. I have previous experience with riding over a nest and visiting the ER after getting 6 stings in various locations all at once. An event I hope to never repeat... The area has had groundhog activity for years, so I would guess they have tapped into that network. If so, I know there are other openings including one under my brushpile. I did a good blast of spray into their hole the other night. They were active again the next day. No clue how far in the actual nest is, so assuming I need something that will gas them good. I have the things for groundhogs, but don't want a lot of smoke coming up under the pile where I can't close it off.
Rolled up the valley last night prolly headed your way. It was Bourbon and lightning out on the porch for a bit.
Boric acid works great takes a day or two and My favorite is Suspend SC, doubt you can find it localy.
LOL. That would be a big box. And have never had anything taken. I had a bunch of small boards, plywood scraps etc years ago that I didn't want Put along the road with a 'free' sign and they were all gone in a few days.
If you're doing it yourself, hit them at night or early in the morning. Cooler and they are usually more lethargic. Hot soapy water is a good first initial attack. A gallon or so poured down the entrance. I like holding off on the nuclear option if I can just get them to relocate.
I remember seeing a video of a guy pouring gas down the hole and lighting it. When the fumes lit it almost blew his backyard up. LOL
