what the hell just happened there!?

Let me try to find the one I got, actually had a bunch of adjustments. What dia is the booster now?

well I guess that image isn't going to post. I don't have a good pic of it, but it is so tight that I put a coffee lid between them to keep the booster from scratching the valve cover and when I was done putting the engine in, I couldn't get the lid back out without loosening the booster

Looks for a 2" smaller booster watch out the universal ones are usually Chebby, oh wait that might work on that! They are out there that's what I would do, also the easiest. If I was going to do all this from scratch again I would have gone hydraboost, remember I have a vac pump also. You will need the stud spacing on the back and the front and cruise e bay till you get a pn for one that would work. When I got those cast covers I had to re adjust mine around again so I feel your pain.

I think just the booster is around 60, cannot find where I bought the one after the fire, it was not bad though.

I just remembered the difference in the boosters, it was the pushrod input on them that was different.

Just make sure you have plenty of pushrod adjustment also, prob will need it if modifying it.

Speaking of valve covers been fighting a leak on the drivers side rear forever, used all types of gaskets and valve covers, finally took it off again and put a straight edge on the head, dam thing had a tiny bump of casting flash sticking up where it seals, honed it down and now the leak is gone, finally!
