I knew some one would do something with my hard wood remark, better Hop's then Karl

Wow really?I knew some one would do something with my hard wood
If I was still doing that work, I would have taken it apart carefully and sold it.Thank you, but the shipping would be silly I believe, I have seen these sell at auction and retrieve good money![]()

It's all your faultLater W
Man prestolight distributor cores are getting pricey on flea bay!

I hear that it is because some clown outta Halifax, PA is buying them up thus driving the price up!Later W

That's good to know.. At one time I was very interested what is up with architectural salvage in and around the city. Other places have businesses or non-profits or both. Here its like hit or miss, people do it for a bit or on the side.If I was still doing that work, I would have taken it apart carefully and sold it.
Done it many times.
Young guys just cut them up and gone.
I understand it they had it down with a Sawzalll in about 15 minutes.
Interesting.Glad I caught this.
The cage doesn't need to be grounded, it only needs to be conductive. Depending on the wavelengths you're interested in blocking, the mesh needs to be finer and all seams need to be more carefully made.
The cage works on the principle that no electric field can exist inside a region with equal potential. Since the conductive screen can be considered an infinite sea of electrons that eliminates any potential difference across its surface, no electric field can exist within.
At very high frequencies, an electric field can bulge in through the openings in the screen b/c the wavelength becomes smaller than the openings (wavelength in air @ 1 GHz is roughly one foot IIRC), thus decreasing required mesh size for higher desired blocking frequency.

Again, I need to finish readin all the posts already up before I type....I hear that it is because some clown outta Halifax, PA is buying them up thus driving the price up!

Ya. I saw it over at Speedtalk forum a few weeks ago. I'll burp a reply over in your new thread.
Tried to find correct time..Some say 7:48 others 7:55? Either way that was after Noon here. Radio broadcast that it was happening till 2:22...Yes sir, I believe the attack happened at 7:46 a.m. or there about
So you prefer Hoppy handle the wood?I knew some one would do something with my hard wood remark, better Hop's then Karl![]()
I very much prefer good metal ones, but never thought of them as heirlooms.I ordered a couple new dustpans for the shop, and he gave them to me. Real solid steel dustpans. Heirloom dustpans.
for info on things that are twisted, I'd recommend you ask Wolfie or Hoppy.Interesting.
Lemme ask here then since we have you and several others who know electricity from theory and practical sides.
What happens when twisted audio wire is used for DC power?
If that's unclear, I'll get some photos.
