Stop in for a cup of coffee

Buddy dragged his son in laws 67 fury home, needs a lot of work. Son in law wants no part of it,money is too much. Guy is raking in the cash but he’s cheap.
Its running decent, and hes coming home for xmas, will see what he thinks, cleaned up some may spark the sentimental value thing.

Evening gents, no snow here yet, was in the 60s. Spent the day digging a model A out of a dirt hill side. Lot of work for some parts.

Maybe you should just part it out and put the money into the Dart.
Nah. I'm not a fan of that. Yeah it'd be nice to have the spare coin but I can't. Not many four doors of that era around as most are parted out. And the body lines have grown on me too much. Don't get me wrong, dart is still the number 1 focus. And will get the majority of funds and time. I just couldnt stand to see this one crushed or rotting away.

Ok, then leave it high and dry and finish the Dart first. Split your time between the two and neither one will ever get done.

Focus, one thing at a time.

The Coyote that chases 2 rabbits catches neither one. Believe me I am the perfect example of that I am chasing 10 rabbits and they just keep running around and laughing at me.

Make it run and drive it that way...Patinna

If anything, that'll be the plan. I have zero plans for a restoration on it any time soon.

That's actually what will happen. Gonna clean a spot for it in the one concrete floored barn and store it there for the time being. Not the best storage spot but not the worst either and far better than it's prior life. I may tape up the windows and spray it with some expoxy primer that'll seal it from further rust but other than that, dart is still the priority.

yep I hear ya.

For sure...
Or, If practical, do the absolute minimum to make the Polara roadworthy first. Then, go back to the Dart.
Im just glad it's home and safe. I should have take better pics of the hill and area we were dealing with. Honestly surprised we didn't damage anything or anyone

Exactly why even though I now have the 66, the GTS will get all of my attention until she's running right and the wiring issues are worked out.

I bought a few parts for the 66 but the only thing I will do on it before the GTS is 100% is to get the rear glass installed so it is weather tight and can wait until I get back to her.

If I plan my time right, the GTS will be done by the time the weather gets warmer so I can play with the 66 while cruising the GTS regularly.

Nice plan. I'm hoping to get the darts body work done next year. Vs trying to bounce around. Suspension is lined out fully so I think this spring I'll order the passenger side quarter panel. And try to source the transmission so I can build the floor correctly around it.

Keep in mind, I don't even know if the poly will run even. So there's not gonna be any coin dropped in that thing until I can find that out. And by having no electrical harness that I can work with and having to fab my own, which I suck at electrical stuff, it's gonna take some time

Looks like the snow is done according to radar. 5.5" here on the ground.

Nothing I like better doing on a Sunday than clearing snow from the driveway and sidewalks. :BangHead:

Are you talking your Darts quarter panel? Maybe we can make a deal. I have a passenger side and may not put it on.

Yep, I think its been done here near 2 hours now. We got about 5 total, but were halfway through it before it started laying on paved surfaces. Will assess the shovel vs melt situation in the morning.

Yep. For my dart. I won't be able to do anything until after the holidays

Do the internals move turning crank? If so it will run, but why bother if you are not ready to work on it. Get it freed up and
cover it with a tarp so you are not distracted by it.

I am not sure what I am doing. I do not need to put the whole quarter on and hate to cut a full quarter up. I am in no hurry. I have been watching metal forming videos so I want to try to make the lip around the wheel well. That's actually all I need. I was going to use Fiberglass until the State backed into the car. Driver side need a full quarter.

I'm hoping that a few hours of sun and winds 10-15 mph above freezing do a lot of the work for me.

I don't plan to attack it until after lunch time anyway.
