the only place that pays that is for campers at the national forest. No firewood allowed to be brought it without the stamp and the campground doesn't sell any firewood. all firewood brought in requires the stamp from the national forestry after its inspected. To get the licence/stamp to sell firewood that can be brought in is a long class but its free to get. its like a 9 weekend course. and has to be done every year. But people pay the 25 bucks when they camp.Hmm, properly stacked I understand a 'rick' to be 1/3 of a cord. Not getting it that cheap around here. Quality wood in season, more like 2 bills a cord, delivered, (not stacked). On the other hand, nobody is going to give $25 for a bucket full around here. One place I used to camp upstate did $10 a wheelbarrow load. But that was usually mix and match crap. Some side cuts from logs with bark still on, 2x's, etc.
Cords around here are rare, most people sale by the rick. 45 for common woods, 55-65 for hardwoods. When you do see cords for sale, its usually 100-150.
