For a 318, yeah no. 600 TOPS for a 318. from what I've read tuning wise, the polys have a slightly higher flow rate and thus a 600 performs better on them than say a LA318. LOL I would say a 600 would be simply marvelous! LOL I have a 600 on my 273 but it works well and I haven't tuned it. Who knows, leaning it out might make it run better. I have worked up a spreadsheet over the last few days that I believe to be fairly accurate. Including the $1200 I paid for the car, I came up with about $9050. That figure does not include tax, shipping, tools, gas to go get parts, and certainly not the many hours of work building it.

Yep. See you get it. My wife doesn't. take the polara for example, not a lot of 64 polara's being restored to begin with and even fewer want the 4 door. So this thing just sat for YEARs. rusting away cause no one wanted it. Now, I'm roughly 750 bucks away from having it back on the road. granted, its a roadkill type project at this point but as much as my daughter has fallen in love with this thing, I have no doubt that it'll be a full resto after the dart is done.worth every penny and worth every moment....IMO

I would think most any factory belts with the cute little covers and accessories in the proper color would look just fine. I will try to figure out a way to post my spread sheet. probably in my build threadMan, @zkx14 i got lucky with some good deals, plus the car came stuffed full of extra parts, many of which i ended up selling below normal asking prices.
Right now for the dart only, I've bought about 3575 in parts (that's including shipping). I've sold 3355 in parts (not counting shipping) So I'm in the hole 220 thus far. I traded for the dart with a nonrunning 92 dodge stealth I'd had maybe 700 bucks into. so add that in, up to 920.
920 thus far. Now for the bad news. I still have 2 large components to buy that combined will cost about 4000 to get, the t56 and the trickflow heads. So to get the dart running, I'm looking at needing close to 6000. Then another grand or more in paint/paint prep materials.

Yeah it ain't cheapI love that I stumbled on to this forum. I don't have a clue sometimes what you all are talking about when you get into the performance stuff... but I do understand you love and care for the classics you have. If you didn't you wouldn't be spending the $$$.
