I'm enjoying some Buffalo Trace. Numbing on the throat. Num, num, num!Eat a raw jalopeno and you can scrape the seeds out.

Thanks. The fact they can rewind is impressive. I've learned the hard way that sometimes even local rebuilders are hacks.I'm not sure if they do mail order or not, I always walk in since it's about 5 miles from my house... The one guy there recognized our alternator as an old Chrysler "round back"... He used to own his own alternator shop in the old days, but the larger corps were too much to compete with and he had to close it...
Here's the link to their web site, try contacting them to see... They make their own parts in house and can upgrade to higher amperage if you want...

Drill a hole in the top. put a red head in and fasten a hook to the red head.Thats not a bad idea. They do have built in hooks for loading
I use a puller to get pulley off alternators but how do you get it back on...got to have the back half off ????Thanks. The fact they can rewind is impressive. I've learned the hard way that sometimes even local rebuilders are hacks.
That's how this one got sand blasted and drilled.

It died that weekend while driving into Albany. At the first rest area I did a little troubleshooting since I had brought a spare VR and ballast resistor, but not an alternator.![]()
Double tanks on that!I edited my post with this while you were reading it and not sure if you saw my added comment on:
If you need some parts and they will sell them separate, I can pick them up and mail them to you if they won't ship...
I think those have to be pressed on with the rotor out. I (We at the parts store) WENT THROUGH A HALF A DOZEN ROUNDBACKS BEFORE I got the single groove pulley I needed. Damn tablet keyboard.I use a puller to get pulley off alternators but how do you get it back on...got to have the back half off ????
From what I've read in the shop manuals, a big YES.I use a puller to get pulley off alternators but how do you get it back on...got to have the back half off ????
Can those alternators be converted to dual field? Thanks. The fact they can rewind is impressive. I've learned the hard way that sometimes even local rebuilders are hacks.

Square back then. Defin remove the brushes first.I got a chrome pulley ,I want to put on the 74 dart to match the other pulleys.
Can those alternators be converted to dual field?
I have a pile of the single field ones that I took off cars that I electronic ignition converted.
I convert them all because I don't fiddle with points

Who are "they " and I was asking about converting from single field to dual field.I believe that they can... If you have a dual field and only need a single, I've seen where they ground the extra field terminal...
Contact them and see what they can do... If they don't do mail order, I can be the middle man for you...
However, I don't see why they would not do business in the mail...
Cut it up and eat a little then,it will help clear the congestion...nose maybe a little running but you'll feel better.I'm not sure if I can handle them straight... I've had some that I can handle, and some that are too hot for me....
But it would numb my throat where I couldn't feel anything...![]()
They like the word reclaimed parts, fancy for used.
I can tell whenever you post because I get a glimpse of one cherry *** 66 dart. Even when I wasn't into early A's, I always liked that car. Red suits it so good and it just has a clean and innocent personality for a car.Cut it up and eat a little then,it will help clear the congestion...nose maybe a little running but you'll feel better.
