If I know that it's going on... I can go to this one...

Are you going??? We can meet up if you do...
Its next weekend I'm not going, but thought if you were you night keep an eye out for the Carter 4298s carb I'm looking for.

Karl next weekend is the Chicagoland MOPAR Club Winter swap. Do you go to that one DuPage County Fairgrounds??

I found Ray a Sun vacuum gauge for his popmobile there a few years back...

Maybe that guy with all the ignition parts will be there also and I can get his info for Ray now that he's doing distributors...

Ever see this before?
DSC03406.JPG

Hard to see dual springs on one side. Goes all in Mech at 1200 distrib rpm. 26 mech.

LOL vac gauage. Still use it as my standard for calibration.

Is there a long loop secondary spring?

and do I see a slight angle on the slots or is that an illusion?

Looks like two MP light springs and a smaller light one inside one side. No idea why?

Easily available to Mr Norm? Just guessing here.
Doubling the super light springs on one side maybe got enough tension to keep it from advancing too soon. Be a ***** on a brand new street car to have the timing moving 650 or 700 rpm. probably still ahd to meet emmisions at idle too?

Good morning, found some MoPar treasure yesterday.....My dad always told me when I go to a swap meet or antique shop that I should always look through the “junk” or boring stuff like jewelry or non car related stuff in the display cases or boxes....well today paid off big time....look at this rare gem....unbelievable!!! The lady at the shop said it was just a “cute little bug with a helmet”........BTW....it’s a 1968 Dodge Scat Pack tie clasp/clip...

Watching edge of alaska.
Guy builds smokehouse.
Fires it up and goes inside to check it out.
Starts coughing and says i better get out before i get sophisticated:rofl:

No Idea why. I can actually duplicate it, actually have the springs.. Thing just slams full advance. Where does the vac advance get the vac from if it is supercharged?
