Stop in for a cup of coffee

If you ever want a fast warm up and get in front of a torpedo heater and put your face in front for a fast cheek warm up....

Remember the heat will make earrings and jewelry heat up ..... BIG TIME!!!

I went for a quick warm up and my earrings got hot quick!! I mean like holy crap get them off, hurry, quick ..... kind of hot.

Just a PSA

See, and that’s why I never wear earrings in the shop...

This is why I conduct a bolt audit on every car.

This pisses me off when I find aftermarket bolts or non mopar bolts of any kind on my cars

This was on the starter

So far I have found this 7/16 bolt with a 5/8 wrench head in three different sizes of length.

I know the longest one is bellhousing and I think the short one is starter.

What does medium go to??

The Place you took it out of? Sometimes the trans have shorter ones on the top? I think.

Doesent bother me, only some aftermarket hardware isnt good enough to hold the kid’s swing set together.
I dont ever use any bolts less then grade 5.
I do have tons of used hardware, and lately i have been seperating
Oe type hardware aside for the projects.

That's funny did a bit of organizing today also had two coffee cans of used distrib screws, tumbled them then sent a few hours separating them out, kind of glad that is done. Some you just cannot find that even look close.

So is the bolt supposed to protrude out of the back.

I put the long version on bell behind the oil filter because that is what came off and you can in the first pic.

The second pic is on the driver side and I tried medium and on the back is flush with the casting. In the second pic.

This is a 74 360 I just tried the bolts on.

I think I figured it out.

The long one is bellhousing on both sides.
Short is starter

Medium takes a nut and goes on the engine to trans support on the bottom

Now there's a new problem.

Seems the engine to transmission supports are different between a 318 and 340/60

These supports came off a 318 and the driver side is too short for a 360

Hello Everyone. Got most all the Demon work done. Had to make up a gasket for the tunnel ram once I got to Dads. FYI, using a correct for your needed hole size gun shell casing in a drill press to make the bolt holes. Cuts very nice and clean. Reassembly of carbs and tunnel ram top tomorrow before people show up. Hope everyone is having a good day/evening.

I hate when you get a new part with bolts that have sae threads and a metric head, I'm like :wtf:

Sounds like a ford thing to me.

the one that gets me, the brass union for 3/16”inverted brake line fittings isnt anything. not that properly fits in my wrench drawer. Not sae, not metric.

Some are ok, most are not.

IIRC the 360 is the oddball.
I have one wrong here too.
Lemme see if I can find what I learned/figured out this evening. I sure dont 'remember off the top of my head,

I could be wrong, but some brackets had 2 holes. For 2 different castings, maybe?

You are welcome to come here, and stay here, anytime you like. I will give you a personal tour. I have special pass into Arlington National Cemetary, since both of my parents are there......
I sent request to Arlington for pass, no reply, over a year ago....
