Mine was a slant.
That's why you had to open up the bolt holes in the front spring hangers...
V-8 cars have the larger hole from the factory...
Mine was a slant.
The v-8 cars had the larger bolt...
The SS springs will be bolt on and go...
I've never used the longer shocks... When does the rear suspension become unsprung????
However to compensate for the stronger right rear spring, crank up the left front torsion bar some extra so the front end sits level....
I actually appreciate the higher right side stance. Why change the perfect look. Fast cars sat crooked back in the day - from what I remember and read/pics about.
Or a replacement shock from a 70-71 Chrysler Imperial as they are already longer.
Mine (75 slant) had 9/16Was your car originally a V8 or /6 car? Sorry, I don't remember off hand. It seems some info I am finding, the /6 had the 1/2" bolt and V8 had 5/8" bolts. IDK
I don’t know what mine had. I cut them out and disposed of them. Now I’m wishing I’d kept them. For another project I need to doMine (75 slant) had 9/16
I didn’t throw out anything unless it was a pile of rust. Amazed at some of the stuf I removed that others needed. Even on one front spring hanger that was shot, I knocked studs out to save another one.I don’t know what mine had. I cut them out and disposed of them. Now I’m wishing I’d kept them. B Bodies and the C body shocks are the same. I didn't look up E bodies but the A bodies were different. (stock length)I did read you can go with P4529514 shocks - longer for these springs. Or a replacement shock from a 70-71 Chrysler Imperial as they are already longer.
87 here right now....With just 2 hours to go until sundown, I'm not confident we will attain our predicted high temperature of 80° today .
We will just have to be satisfied with our lowly 72° and hardly a breath of wind
