Using a large screwdriver as a shifter when the OE floor shifter broke off in my hand.

Flat rear tire on the desert racin' Baja Bug. Swapped the front tire to the rear and what was left of the drive tire to the front. Got us to the next pit stop. 
Drove a car with vice grips for steering.

!965 towed my 63 Ford Galaxie race car 200 miles to and from the track, with a bumper to bumper tow bar, with a 64 Dodge dart slant six 3 speed stick. One hill had to unhook the Ford and drive it to the top, then rehook.
