I need one for my old truck.
We call walleye , pickerel here in Canada.Lost me on that Mike, but I'm always lost I think.
Pull the grates and the covers inside. Scrape off the big chunks, vacuum the ash from the belly and fire it up. It's properly cleaned.Time for me to get the smoker fired up. I can do that in my PJ's can't I? Sure, why not. It's my patio.
Here ya go cousin, from yesterday. More of the same all week. Notice temp on dash read.glad to see some of use are not dealing with hot dry yet humid 97 degrees today
Congratulations
Yep, sure is, just came in after watering a few bushes, young trees I planted and Japanese maples.. more water delivered by watering with hose in hand
Difficult to fillet, best in the spring when water is cold. They get real slimy when the water warms up.A friend of mine cooked up some Northern Pike and it was good but I never cooked any myself.
No,thanks…Here ya go cousin, from yesterday. More of the same all week. Notice temp on dash read.

Lots of bones.
You must know how to do it.Northern are plentiful in MN. I find it odd that most people complain about bones. I’m not a fisherman (except my Barracuda) but I’ve shown a lot of people how to fillet them with scarcely a bone. Smaller ones taste good
Agreed. Right after the opener is when they are the best. Later in June or getting into July......Nah. Let 'em go.Difficult to fillet, best in the spring when water is cold. They get real slimy when the water warms up.
My grandfather taught me how to fillet them when I was a fingerling (see what I did there?), and while you have to be more careful, and take your time, it is possible to fillet them w/o getting any bones.Northern are plentiful in MN. Wow, This is your 40 plus hour job at times ? I think I would like it, especially the release part.
And here I always thought the northern fish was better, any lake near by that can be fished ? And what kind do you have there for eating ?
best would be led, from 100 plus yards away from what my dad said, target practice back in his day.
Thank you Mike, yes, I was amazed at it really, if I ever need one for my 66 I believe this will be my direction as well.
@MeMikieJr is proud of how it turned out, he is moving right along on his big block 73 Charger
