Stop in for a cup of coffee

-
Time for me to get the smoker fired up. I can do that in my PJ's can't I? Sure, why not. It's my patio.
Pull the grates and the covers inside. Scrape off the big chunks, vacuum the ash from the belly and fire it up. It's properly cleaned.

Northern are plentiful in MN. I find it odd that most people complain about bones. I’m not a fisherman (except my Barracuda) but I’ve shown a lot of people how to fillet them with scarcely a bone. Smaller ones taste good
You must know how to do it.

Difficult to fillet, best in the spring when water is cold. They get real slimy when the water warms up.
Agreed. Right after the opener is when they are the best. Later in June or getting into July......Nah. Let 'em go.

My grandfather taught me how to fillet them when I was a fingerling (see what I did there?), and while you have to be more careful, and take your time, it is possible to fillet them w/o getting any bones.

Above is think link I watch to inspire me to try it my self, his are made to be finished no fabrics. But never doing fiberglass before I gave it a shot knowing I would cover with material. ( It’s in )

Wow, This is your 40 plus hour job at times ? I think I would like it, especially the release part.

And here I always thought the northern fish was better, any lake near by that can be fished ? And what kind do you have there for eating ?

best would be led, from 100 plus yards away from what my dad said, target practice back in his day.

Thank you Mike, yes, I was amazed at it really, if I ever need one for my 66 I believe this will be my direction as well.
@MeMikieJr is proud of how it turned out, he is moving right along on his big block 73 Charger

Hello superson.. yep, drop on in and even though you don't drink coffee (I don't think) we have some fun in this thread, and some great old farts enjoying there day here, couple ladies drop in at times to keep us straight.

@MeMikieJr
Oh absolutely, drop in anytime you're in town. :poke:
He works out of town, 1 hour trip, or as Mikie would say 43 minutes..
So proud of how hard he works and his commitment he has on this cool sold bones big block Charger . My favorite picture of it on the hill when he first got it

one item on my bucket list is to meet a bunch of my fellow coffee shop members. I think Carlisle would be the bomb, but accomodations and transportation are my concerns.

Rain. Steady.
Trying to clean shop and moving stuff in the rain hinders my progress. So i think i will organize quonset. Theres rows of shelving i’m not making very good use of. So i should really try and deal with it.

I wanted to start doing body work on the 63 roof but weather is not cooperating on getting the sand blasting done. SO! I'll start on the frontend. Found some small spots of rust so I used Rust Mort and now it has to set for 24 hours.
