Thoughts on swapping a slant 6 with a 383

Loud valve covers??
There is a fair amount of sewing-machine noise coming from my valvetrain, but it's hardly noticeable over the headers and dual 3" exhaust :)
Mine resonated bad. The small block one had to be trimmed to fit my intake also.

I took a 6 out of my 69 dart and put in a 400 which is a b block like the 383. Kept the power steering (very tight) and power brakes (also very tight). Mine had a console shift and I found some original manifolds. No problem with valve covers, used mopar performance cast aluminum, and no problem with original heater motor. Ended up fabricating solid motor mounts and moving the engine toward the pass side .75".

My Duster was an original /6 car. It also had a manual three speed with a floor shifter. All of that stuff is gone now, replaced with a low deck 512 and a 727 transmission.
