Mike any reason you are going down to a 2" pipe after the muffler? I would reccomend sticking with the 2 1/4 throughout the whole system.Especially since the system will be compression bent.If you really want the most out of your exhaust I would reccomend 2.5 inch pipe,if its compression bent. 2 1/4 is good for stock or super six,but for a 4 bbl. I would go with 2.5". Better performance and economy. The loop that goes over the axel gets severely choked with a compression bend so that 2 in. pipe after the muffler will only be about 1.5",not good.

I will be running a stock Low deck 170/ and I need just a bit of back pressure and the rear muffler exit dose sound right. Thank you :cheers:I will continue through the muffler with 2 1/4'' :-D Thank you, The head and cam work will come later after the the factory color goes back on the car.

Hey Memike,how,s it going?It,s to bad your so far away!I,m installing a 360 in my 66 Dart,so the 6cyl. with all the 4bbl,header stuff is coming out(I have a buyer for the complete setup and motor(engine)LOL!I have new dual exhaust on the car from headers to chromie tailpipes.Well it has to go!Hey,maybe I could sell to motor buyer?If you were,nt so far I,d let you have it for a song and a dance!To far though.Good luck with your project!When is the 8 3/4 and rally,s going on?:cheers:

I am wanting to enjoy the road with it and show it for a while pettybludart.
The engine bay will be repainted and the body to it correct color this year and keep the smooth ,light and quite rear end in this year.
I would say the rally,s will go on the same time I paint the car for show.
The rear end will stay with me if I every take the V8 direction like you did.
But for now I am going to get some use of these 13'' tire's before I take them off.

I don,t blame you one bit Mike,she,s looking sharp the way she sits!Mine had been tinkered with and to many little problems.Best bet is to start fresh,I,m just doing it 8 months earlier than expected.But it,s also keeping me busy!Yah opening the wallet:munky2:

I hear ya 8) I wish I could drop 3k in her and have the slant working that 8 3/4 hard :-D, But for know its show and go. and a little at a time.:happy10:

What muffler brand are you going to use?
He said it was a turbo true flow or a flow master knock off of some kind.
As long as it fits on the correct position and it is 2 1/4 in and out.
The exhaust system I have know is new from about 20'' from the down pipe.
the down pipe is 1 3/4 and the tail pipe is too. :thumbdow:
 
Glad to hear that they will be able to get Victoria in pretty soon Mike. Get to knock another thing off the to-do list. Shes going to be running smooth and looking even better for the summer cruising!!!

If all goes well I might start cleaning up the fire wall this week.
The next time you get a chance look at your barracuda a see the big round hole in front of your battery, That is where I will put a air collector at for a positive pressure to my filter box.

Time to put new motor mounts in, Waggin is buiding me a dual system so the 2 1/4 exhoust is not going on. So I will start the clean up under the hood.

The next time you get a chance look at your barracuda a see the big round hole in front of your battery, That is where I will put a air collector at for a positive pressure to my filter box.
Great place for the air collector my friend!! Its for sure going to get more than enough fresh air to the carb. I wish you the best of luck swapping out the mounts. Mine were a real pain. Ended up having to cut one of them off. Sure hope it goes a lot easier for you!

Thank you Badawg, I have been spraying them dpwn with blaster for a couple months know, and the intake bolts too.:-D
I had some help aroung the house yesterday again and sense all the wind fall was picked up I put his arms on my fender.

wow mike, this is the first time ive acually read the entire thread front to back. You have been coming right along with it. Very respectible car, i especially like the intake setup and modified exhaust manifold for duals. 8)

I have been driving Victoria more then working on her and making some investments to take care of her.

The sun popped out so I opened the hood of my old truck and robed a cable attachment for a cable bull throttle, I fought off many wasp and got it off.
Looks like it will work perfect.

I showed the exhaust manifolds and car to my muffler shop I will use and he said no problem at all to twin pipe it in :cheers:
 
Since it was so nice out I took the time to install air shock's and it really feels good to be setting in my seat looking over my hood =P~ I emptied my trunk and listened to some CCR :love7:
Hear are some pictures with a full 90lb air in the shocks, I will let her sit and check it tomorrow She sure looks and feels MUCH better.
