Hey folks, so many great suggestions here, I love to read thread after thread, but sometimes I get a little confused. I believe it is because the gray hair coming out of my head is actually gray matter leaking out from my brain and I cant stop it for some reason!
I have installed my front disc brakes from a donor 73 and has it been a learning experience! All sorts of odd things have come up and I am trying to work them out one by one.
Latest is the one wheel too far forward and rubs the fender. I have a set of stock rallye 14" wheels that currently have P215x70xSR14s on them until I can get the car to the tire shop for new tires and then a front end alignment.
From all the reading it looks like I need to check caster/camber after ride height and see if that addresses the tire position situation. I also found that the struts need to be at 40ftlb so that should set the LCA correctly, right?
So now I am looking for tires to go with on the rallye 14" wheels.
The car is a /6 so I dont want to go too big so does the 215/70-14 see like the right tire or should I go 205 or 195?
I respect all the input here so if you have some pointers I would greatly appreciate it.
Here are some pictures I took showing the tire closeness to the fender.
I had one strut bent and replaced it, but did not compare it with the other side or the old bent one.
Thanks for your expert help all!
Cheers
