Like a dumbass I waited until the hottest day of the year so far to polish my wheels. Turned out pretty good though. I need to put something on the polished aluminum to seal the metal? Before

Oh ****! How did that picture get in there? Ah well, may as well fess up. Here's the wheels unpainted but mounted to get an idea of what they'll look like.

And the real thread for this story.

Added some "carbon fiber" film to my heater control bezel to (kind of) match my Classic Dash gauge panel.

That's the end of my Spring 2019 to-do list for the Duster. Nothing left to do but drive it now!

Here is what a 76 D100 exhaust layout looks like with a short working H Pipe, one way to do it for you. Those are Cherry Bombs, may be going to DynaMax if those are too loud. Has a nice rumble at the moment. But yeah everyone is taking off their chambered mufflers, too much drone . . the flow masters, the . . ting, ting, ting.

Right behind you there My5thMopar, same thing . . getting things ready to run on the 76 D100. Just fitted the front end sheet metal today, all locked down, lined up and secured. Next inner fenders and front bumper going on.

Coming Along, almost there . . .

Yeah those Cherry Bombs by themselves were too loud out driving around. Ended up putting Resonators in the tail pipes along with the Cherry Bombs up front, and going straight out the back below the bumper with the exhaust system.

Set it up like Ma Mopar would do it, resonators in the tail pipes behind the mufflers.

Lots of twisted up exhaust pipe there for the Duals when they run the Dual Mufflers down the one side to get around the gas tank.

Sounds just great now, still know it's got a V8 in it . . .

Perfect looking Interior there, like the way you did your dash and gauges layout.

paste wax helps keep them clean, stuff just washes off.

I looked at the "grinding" rear brakes of my 2012 Grand Caravan. Pads were still 1/4" thick, no contact, no grooves in the rotor but I had a ~1mm lip where the pads stopped. Almost like the pads wore 1mm of iron off the rotors? So I ground the lip off with a flap wheel thinking that was making the noise and put new pads on. Wife says they still are audible so I ordered 2 new rotors from Rock. $12 each: they are $66 a piece locally! Ill get them Wed to install by friday for a 1900 mile road trip to Texas. Any chance I can compress the pistons without that special caliper piston screw thing? Just a hassle renting it again if I can compress the piston 2mm with something to make room for new rotor. Nice thing about the pad install, my boy did one side by himself along with a complete oil change! It was nice teaching him and the icing on the cake was when he asked me "Dad, how did you get so smart?" I told him if I didnt learn this stuff I couldn't drive.

I thought about that and even have some paste wax laying around. I had a couple of axle seals leaking and it made a mess of everything back there. All cleaned up now and ready to go. I might put some high temp black on the calipers.

Taped up the wiring in my dirty trunk. Took the family to Walmart and used up every square inch. Thought for sure I was going to wreck something.
Gorilla tape to the rescue.

Cleaned the car off and went to a cruise we hold each year for our engine builder/racing buddy who passed away from cancer 5 years ago. My friend had his freshly painted 1967 Dart GT Convertible there, and another buddy's 1967 Barracuda with a 512 stroker that was the last engine he built before he died.

The friend in the red Corvette surprised me with a sticker for my door mirror. I had admired it on his car and he ordered me one. It says "objects in the mirror are losing"
