Not just today, but all weekend. Work on the Duster seems endless but the list is getting shorter.
Fitted the fiberglass hood on hinges with low tension springs. Set up the shifter and made the KD linkage work with the TTIs. Tie rods, alignment. Installed driveshaft and some other garbage underneath. It all runs together now.

Removed the exhaust, wire brush and cleaned the underbody. Getting closer to reassembly. Planning to use Eastwood encapsulator underneath

Cruise-in & car show in Willow Springs, Mo. (about 20 miles away). Had been scheduled for yesterday but showers and clouds postponed to the rain date... free burgers/dogs/pulled pork provided again, but this year we had to pay $1 for sodas. Not a problem :)

This tankful, with one drive to town and back and today's 65-70 mph run up to Willow, actually broke 10 mpg (7.26 gal, 73.5 miles). All that carb tuning seems to have paid off

I think it's pretty!

Got some tuning done. First run in the Demon for the year.

I was going to put my motor/transmission back in my 67, but then I realized I didn't have the shield!

Ordered one from classic and it will be here tomorrow.

Made huge progress on the duster. Finally added brake fluid to the system and bled brakes. Changed out the slant torsion bars for 340 bars. Put a few gallons of gas in the new fuel system. Cranked her over and fired the engine!
Had my 5yr old add 5 qts of trans fluid. (He was so excited to see it run!) Ran it through all gears (on jack stands) which was the first time it has turned it rear wheels on it's own power since early 2000's!
Huge milestones today. Getting real close to finishing body and paint.
