What's up with the chunks of pineapple?

Just to keep any debris out of the lifter bores, and their oil gallies, same with the cam bearing foam plugs. Cam is all pre fit now and want to keep things clean for next steps assembly. Just need to slip in the Cam and the new lifters tomorrow . . all ready to go . . next step.

Foam plugs are 1" high density foam, good quality, stays together without coming apart.

Have to replace my tachometer so I took the previous owners homemade dash bezel out. While in there, I also swapped the nylon oil pressure line for copper, added a USB port, cleaned up the harness, fuse box, and made a stainless steel cover for what had been 3 slits for the heater controls.

I spent the day getting the red Demon ready for some street action. Got the new M/T ET Street SS radials mounted and installed. Spent most of the day using my crummy welding skills to fab up a 3" pseudo exhaust system. Used Cherry Bomb Salute mufflers dumping before the rear axle. On the LH side, the original muffler bracket was still there. Nope...not on the RH side. Long since missing. So had to make do with some fabbing. Getting the 3" pipe under the trans crossmember was not fun either. Pretty happy with the sound - I'll try to get it posted soon.

Got a hair and fired the fish back up today, not good IMO!

As I now here a scraping noise that sounds like a bearing! Seems it may be going into hibernation for who knows how long!

My health is going south quickly so who knows. Car may be up or sale before long!

Man, what a bummer! Even if you sell the baby, we're in hopes that you'll stay around on the site and stay in touch. I pray your health takes a turn for the good and you can continue to participate in every way.

Found a brand new coolant sensor from 1970. Never installed. What are the chances? Gotta love the seniors in the neighborhood that worked the assembly line.

Adjusted rear brake drums. Adjusted lokar Kd cable. Adjusted choke in carb and installed carb gasket. Installed some rubber pieces on the door. Put the passenger side door lock back together. Took off shifter on the steering column. Installed rear pieces to the front seats. Put fire extinguisher in the car (just sitting on seat). Took a picture of it. I also drove it to work the other day, I get some good looks while driving it around town.
