It's early Ford blue. I had it painted late Ford blue which is darker, but I thought I'd do it different this time.
Noticed you have the old Holley street dominator, big block edition. I’ve got the small block LA street dominator on my 318 and really like the way it runs. I installed a 1/2” four hole spacer over a 1 inch open spacer on the manifold I’m running with an Edelbrock 600 carb. No difference in throttle response from the Edelbrock performer manifold I took off and more period correct for my Duster.

That's for the 400 Ford, which, believe it or don't is a small block. It's a Cleveland, but it's a tall deck Cleveland. The 221, 260, 289, 302, 351W, 351C, 351M and 400 all have the same bore spacing, so that makes them all in the small block family. While the 221-351W are all Windsors, the 351C, 351M and 400 are all the "335" series, but still small blocks. The 335 series are just all "big" small blocks, because of their canted valve heads.

haven't done much ford work ,maybe a t-chain or a valve job
one of my friends had a stang with high compreesion 351c that thing sounded sweet
for some reason never heard a new chevy that sounded ...good

I posted this on a gold member only thread..
Finally doing paint and light bodywork to my Demon project. I sprayed one apron just to give myself motivation to keep going.

Great idea spraying one apron! Gives strong motivation to keep going. Little steps along the way help get you to the finish line.

Got that right! It's sooooo much hand sanding in all the nooks and crannies that play havoc on the fingers..lol

Removed the shifter mounting plate from my A-833. With heat, oil, and persistence i got ONE of the three mounting bolts out whole. The other two ended up stripping the hex, so it was time to drill out and use the bolt remover. I am a REAL fan of the hardened square ones and not a fan of the new spiral ones.

Sokeing lifters and now roller timming chain as I completed preparing all my water pump and timming chain cover bolts for resemble date to come, fan is tested and ready for that 20 minute cam break in date.

Trying out a big block (7 blade) fan. Learned that the small block fans only have 5 blades.

Long day

Tapping out

Set choke, cold start

Couple of leaks managed...

Front end alignment done

Got the e brake guide reattached where I had to move it to accommodate the dual exhaust.

Bunch of messing with timing and carb

Swapped out to the dead sexy Commando valve covers!!

Well After commenting on the 10th year of performance on my Turbo Start Repro Mopar Yellow Top AGM Battery, It finally gave of the ghost! I tried every AGM trick in the book for recovery and was only able to get
400CCA out of it. I ordered a replacement from Summit for $305.00. Took 7 days to arrive, just for giggles tested right out of the box and only 500CCA. Put it in the fish and instant turn over for prime of the Carb.
A couple short spins and fuel in the bowls, and ignition! Let Calypso warm up through the choke cycle, then shut her down! Retest the new AGM Battery and 650CCA! My Charging system is A ok I think, A few for tests to come!
