Going in to work tonight to find out if I have a job This is the 3rd round of layoffs in two years. The first two I was excluded from due to senority and skills.
I get to work at 7pm and they start paging everyone at 8pm to the conference room to let us know if we are retained or gone. I feel pretty confident but, you never know how these HR people are thinking. Update at 8am if I still have a job and earlier if I'm let go

I hear ya man , We've been finishing up this condo project and every friday half then crew is gonzo , I've been living under the axe for a month and figure with just 3 carpenters and 2 apprentices left if I'm not gone after tomorrow I will be next week , I've been saving for it though and am ready to spend the summer cruising the cuda on EI { employment insurance aka the federal fresh air inspection team lol } :cheers:

Good luck. I'm /was a commercial/industrial super. Laid off since December.
Glad I had parts saved up; keeps me busy. And now the wife has made me a maid. But the money situation scares me. How long will it take the idiots in Washington, to figure out that giving their voters all our money, doesn't help the economy. When Bush tried to stop the housing melt-down, but the Dems stopped it.

It was not fun being at work and watching and hearing about my teammates that were not so lucky I think I will be having a few drinks this morning for myself and them. Thanks for all of the support. Did I mention it was pretty stressful walking into that room not knowing.......that is just a shitty feeling

I'll join you....with some hot black coffee! 8) If you get a chance some day, get a sixer of King Soopers Black Cherry Soda and use it as a mixer for your rum. It's really, really good. I call it a "Cherry Duster".
