Stop in for a cup of coffee

Ok, it took me a while to work up the courage to do this. I bought a skin tight work out shirt for when I begin weight training in the next couple of months. Today I decided to put it on and take a base line photo now that I am at 250 lbs.

I was a bit anxious about seeing what I would look like in it and had no intentions of ever posting it until much later as a comparator pic after I had been working out for a while.

I decided that I might as well show it now and be proud of having lost 65 lbs and not worry about how people might think I look. I felt like I was just coping out if I waited until I had a progress pic to put next to it.

No peanut butter? Crimes against humanity. I gotsta have peanut butter..

The family here can not understand why I do not like peanut butter. I am just not grown up with it. I can eat M&M, peanuts covered in chocolate, but peanut butter does not float my boat. And, on bread, and with jam, oh boy. You Americans are mixing some food together that is totally beyond me. That said, Norwegians do the same, mixing things together, but totally different things, and things you guys here would not like.
Food tastes are a funny thing.

In the Naval base shooting, the easy access was because the government gave him the weapons.

“The suspected shooter opened fire on shipyard personnel with his M4 service rifle and then used his M9 service pistol to shoot himself, officials said.”
But the shooter was still mentally unstable....

Yesterday I was 277,8, down from 292 in July. Have a doctor appointment towards mid January, and I sort of have a hope I will at least be under 275, but maybe under 270 too, which will be a surprise for the doctor.
Christmas will be a tough one.

Ah, who cares what all the people say!
Although I guess that's a part of the motivation since you're posting the photos.

Got head studs from Speedmaster, but no rocker arms.....Bet they messed up the order....Calling....

But the shooter was still mentally unstable....
In general I agree with you and Bill.
But there other motivators for killing.
NPR was reporting this guy was a Saudi there for training.
Will be some time befoer we get more info. Sherriff and the Navy are being tight lipped on this one.

Only sort of. Posting photos helps me stay honest with myself. It’s too easy to hide behind weight numbers...but showing photos makes it real and brutally honest.

You see? it has the factory sun roof!!!!

OOPS, should have kept reading......
Yup. Cound be a fun project car.
Expect it will involve some undoing.
If the body is relatively sound, what would concern me the most is the engine and transmission being relatively decent.
If it requires pulling the engine, then its down to $5k in my book.
The fuel line and oiling may be OK but not too difficult to fix if not. I don't like fuel set up regardless. But in the scheme of things, that's minor.

Makes sense.
Heck I know I'm more motivated on things when other people are involved.
of course I'm not talking about losing weight - just generally - but that includes excersizing

One of the things that really kicked me in the *** to start this weight loss program was seeing a video of myself at a company picnic with other people. I could ignore the 2D image that I was seeing of myself in the bathroom mirror everyday, but I couldn’t ignore the brutally honest reality of what I had allowed myself to become after seeing that video. I was ashamed and very angry at myself...so I took the first step down the path to a better me.

My wife is over weight, she is only 5ft tall, it does not take much to be heavy, so I know the work and perseverance it takes to lose weight...Good on you...

Day is almost done. knocking mud out if wheels, and no freaking weights:wtf::wtf:
So fire up the balancer. All wheels way off. One at 10.75 oz..

Funny. I was just thinking I'd make beef or chicken kung pao!

When I first heard the someone mention peanut butter stew, I thought that was horrible sounding.
Well it still does if I say it that way, cause I think of something like traditional stew with it.
But I've had some really good peanut butter main dishes that could be called stews.
African - I think west African . yum!

I've got a friend who I'd like to see get motivated. That really does seem to be the hardest part of anything that's not (yet) routine.

Alright, back to my projects. making a storm window. Need to decide soon whether its going to be glazed traditionally or removable inserts.
Well dinner first.

Looking at the photos more closely, I think it has the Convertriple rear seat also.

The fold down rear seat would be a big plus for me, assuming the car was to be a driver.
I originally thought a fold down back seat could go in my coupe. That pipe dream was dispensed with pretty quickly.

So don’t laugh but I forgot I needed a dipstick tube. So for now, a small bolt and a ton of RTV it is.

This is California. Never can tell when you need to throw the surfboard in the Dart to get the big waves . Speaking of, there's a "high surf" warning at the local beaches.
