RB, I wasn’t going to reply. (Running out of piss and vinegar.) I was asking you questions like I was a dumb *** know nothing about this topic person. Many people come here to read up and learn something. So your comment you made about “your not here to teach me.” Is a sorry full one since that now means others are included in your statement. Earlier you kind of made some insulting remarks. While I’m not personally offended, it was the reason I took the approach and it was a dip from you I didn’t expect.
I’m not here to teach you or anyone else. I posted exactly what I did because the OP has no reason to pick up a grinder. He needs to do a bunch of study before doing that. Like so many others, he seems to think the exercise of “port matching” to be a simple one. Hence why my first post says not to bother with it.
You gave me (and the forum) a video. Here is mine in return that answers the question more than you did. The big problem here is you assumed and did so on a huge level.
First thing is when the OP asked the question, you assumed your answer was correct and it was, from a certain point of view. What was the OP’s point of view? What parts is the OP using? These and many more questions you don’t know the answer to but yet answered the question as if he was doing what you thought he was doing.
The only assumption I made was that you would be willing to set aside your wrong understanding of airflow. You are not willing to do it.
When I repeated the question of how much of an offset of mismatch there was, it was for a reason. Starting with what head and cylinder the OP intended on using. But you know what parts he has on hand to use right?
I addressed this several times, but the PRICK a in you refuses to get it. The correct answer is MAKE THE PORT IN THE MANIFOLD AND THE HEAD LINE UP. Are you not getting that? That is of course, best case. Sometimes you just can’t get that without welding or using filler, which by the way is far above the level of work the OP should be doing. I base that on the original question he asked. To that end, if you can’t get the ports lined up, the manifold needs to be bigger than the port in the head. It’s that simple. And, there is no magic number. It’s not .020 or anything else. It’s the least amount of mismatch you can get. See how simple it is?
In the future, before you throw stones and get pissed off like a little girl and ask me to find where you made a statement that you think I said you wise or otherwise twist the words and meanings, take a breath and walk away to calm down.

And I still say go learn something. Like go stand in front of a flow bench for 40 hours or so and see what you learn. In 1 hour you should learn that most everything ever printed in magazines and 98% of what’s posted on forums is wrong. It’s just regurgitated bullshit. You don’t know that because you’ve never done it. Therefore, you and I cant have a sensible conversation. You aren’t capable of it.
