Graveyard Carz Coming Back

-
you can see a few A bodies in their yard and in the corner of their shop, but really they probably wont show them because they are showing off their work on the high $ cars

I do like the show but I can also relate to Mark, the things that he is getting on the others about are pretty basic instructions that they mess up,often.

Some of Mark's problem is his instructions. He tells his people to do exactly what he instructs, but then he gives conflicting instructions. If you listen to the first show of this season carefully (I rolled it back to make sure I heard exactly what he said) and he told one of his people to go over all the torque readings on everything under the black Barracuda, "Starting at the back and check everything front to back". Physically can't be done! I'm sure he gives conflicting instructions offscreen as well and then won't take responsibility for them when he's called on it.
He may only be joking with all of his physical threats, but he'd only pull that crap with me once and I'd be walking out the door. Don't have time for that.

I want to know what the true story is about this so called restoration shop. Royal and the son in law have "other jobs" that are taking away from their ability to be at Mark's shop to do restorations. Darren has mentioned a couple of times that he doesn't get paid, and Mark runs a auto body shop. Sounds to me like these guys are working behind Mark's auto body shop in their spare time and decided to make a TV show about it?!?

How did ya like the starter alignment in the Cuda ? maybe he slipped with the screwdriver. All a bunch of *** clowns

Come on guys its a show about Mopars! Like every other reality show on TV, it has staged drama and conflict because it has to, just like Street Outlaws. Sorry, your not going to get Galen Govier documenting and inspecting cars on TV because no one but us would watch. And I'm pretty sure Mark know his stuff. Just enjoy the cars and watch, or don't watch and quit hating.

+1:thumbup:

Times 2...love the show.

They are kind of idiots, other than Royal, and they need to show more of Holly.

They are all just doing what we would do if we could...screw around all day and work on Mopars and get paid!

Paul

if my boss treated me in private like that,he wouldn`t get away w/ it:, much less on national t.v. he must be paying those guys huge money to let him make an *** of them, and to say nothing of himself . can`t watch. switch back and forth till the work starts. if it wasn`t mopars I wouldn`t even do that, got no use for asses!:finga::bootysha:

From what I've picked up watching the show.Mark owns Welbys collision shop, where they shoot the show from.Mark and Darren are co-creators/co-hosts of the show(hard to tell by the way Mark controls everything).Royal is Marks childhood buddy and Josh is his son in law which he brought them on the show. From what I've seen I think they are doing it for the show and only paid from them.I believe Darrens car was suppose to be the first or second car built but they started getting a lot of orders for more cars.I don't think they worked together full time anyways but now Mark has offered Josh more pay so he can be there more.It looks like the come together just to finish the cars on the show but do their own thing away from the show.I think since they have known each other so long that's why Mark gets away with his antics, the others just ignore all that stuff.Like having that annoying friend come around all the time everyone just lets it slide because they know it doesn't mean anything.

Just watched the newest episode..I think the trailer leading into the show is the best part...who would ever work in that environment ?

I just started watching and recording this show...and flaws aside (and there are plenty) it's one of the best of this kind of show on TV and they do actually seem like they know their Mopars for the most part... which is incredibly refreshing.

I love that they focus on putting the cars back to stock and preserving as much of the history as possible. Such a refreshing change from the wholesale slaughter of classics on other shows.

This show is terrible! I live & breathe Mopar, love seeing the cars but just watched less than 10 minutes of the first new episode & I just can't do it! The owner/manager/head moron/:tool: absolutely ruins the show! He is the whole problem with the show. He is full of himself, insists on belittling everyone around him & just makes it impossible to watch the show. I actually can't believe some of the things that come out of his mouth. I stopped watching after 10 minutes, deleted the episode & cancelled the season on my DVR. What a shame, I had such high hopes but barely could watch anymore at the end of last season & this season is actually worse.:violent1: How did this guy get a television show?

I know what you mean. I can't STAND that personality type but my gut tells me, Mark is not one of those guys...he's a fake for the sake of the show.

Sadly, the shop/reality TV show has to have a boss d--- head going back to Jesse James (who actually is a d--- head) and the guy on Orange County Choppers.

I'd put money on it that all of the crap Mark gives to those guys, he gets away with it because they're actually friends.

Did anybody else notice all they've got plans for are B-bodies and E-bodies?
Not a single mention of an A-body throughout the show or the plans for future shows.
Oh well, their loss!

YEAH! I have been expecting '67-'69 Barracuda to show up but nothing yet. Honestly, the cost of a restoration has to be justified. As much as we love and appreciate our A Bodies, they're not worth all that much cash.

I agree completely.

Marks a tool the show sucks hard to watch sad to say because its about mopars not ford and chevys

Love having a show about Mopars but can't stand the drama. Anyone who watched the show wouldn't bring their car there to be restored. I'll keep watching just for the Mopars.

first off im a MOPAR GUY but damn im amazed ANYONE can do a restore show strictly with muscle era mopars. I give them tons of credit for that. everyone bitches about the shows that show tech because tehy only do sponsor stuff (well duh the bills dont pay them selves) and now we see a show that has more of the stuff we like and lets ***** about that. Ive facebook chatted mark and Josh a couple times and both guys are cool enough in cyberlife mark was quick to give me the low down on his ramcharger in some off the wall pic i saw and I was more than impressed to even hear back at all. Im glad to see in this economy that ANY car shows can make tv with out selling me coker tires and battery tenders ( not knocking those guys)

i watched the new season premier - a LITTLE better, BUT NOT MUCH....
they did a nice job on the 71 black cuda but i kept waiting for someone to drop a body hammer on one of the newly painted body panels "just for dramatic effect." and wow, what about the idiot "california loon" "fantasm" director "what's his name" and his "side kick" "what's his name" who was the "star" of the fantasm movies. wow, just when you thought there couldn't be more idiots on the show - those two pegged the idiot meter. they acted EXACTLY like what i would expect from a couple of so-called B-grade "movie" people. considering that it now costs at least $50k to do a complete tear down restoration of an E body cuda, i just can't imagine who is actually paying the big checks to this cast of clowns. as to mark's "inspection verification" of the 69 A12 super bee, i would love to have been a fly on old galen govier's wall while galen was watching that segment. i really didn't see any big mistakes in what mark said during his "inspection verification", however, i guess it was the smug "i know all this stuff and you don't" attitude that anoyed me. however, to be fair, i spent my high school years hanging out at my local plymouth dealer and street racing every weekend the cars that old mark and his gang are restoring. i'm sure i watch this show with a much too critical eye. for younger kids out there that were born after the muscle car craze was dead and buried, this show is probably entertaining - and all the "pretty colors" on the old cudas are nice to look at. i will probably continue to watch this show with my finger on the mute button clicking the volumn on and off until someone is actually working on one of the cars.

i think of it more of a show about what they did not a show about them doing stuff. They obviously put in 100's of well thought out hours into the cars they do and produce a very nice car and most importantly they are bringing mopars back to life. Really I don't think its ment to show you how they really work.

It looks like this isn't even the main function of their shop just something great they get to do when they aren't working on regular jobs. Its like if me and the guys i've known my whole life hung out in the garage and worked on cars in the evening. It would probabaly be much like this except we would have beer.

I think the show is pretty good. Mark Warmon has a sense of humour that I could see be taken as him being an egomaniac. Funny stuff, a lot of it. From what I can tell he has a full blown run of the mill collision shop, and then him and the other guys on the show do Graveyard cars on the side, maybe primarily a weekend gig. Since no other employees are ever around, in the back or front office. They could definitely spend more time on cars then the "unreality TV" crapola. Better then watching a ton of other shows that are on. The quality of their work looks pretty impressive as well. I'll be watching season 3 for sure!

mark still makes an *** of himself, everytime he comments on anything!!!!

New Season, new format begins tonight. Last week was really just part two of the Phantasm episode from last season. Hoping for a positive change, we'll see.

I don't mind the snide jokes, it is the obviously phony drama that makes the show tedious to watch and takes time from showing real car work. I can't believe "Master of Mopar" Mark, who claims to have worked on cars since age 12 yrs, said he always thought an LCA bolt pivoted in the K-frame as the car drove. Every car I have worked on (even German) have rubber bushings that twist as control arm pivots. Must have been a line from a clueless writer, but Mark was silly to speak it. It looks like all the episodes are filmed on the weekend, so making videos must be a side hobby for them. They should watch Wheeler Dealers and Car Fix to learn what a car show should be.

they probably filmed that last season i think they are headed in the right direction

show was much better last night than last week. i'll watch it again.[/QUOTE]

Mark stated that AAR Cuda was the only car produced by Ma Mopar with different tire sizes front and rear. Maybe my hearing is really bad but he didn't include the TA in that statement.
