The short story....... I removed my fuel pump (mallory 4140) as I thought it was bad. Before ordering a new one I thought I would jump straight off the battery and found that it works fine. I have a separate switch to power the fuel pump but can't figure out the issue where the issue is at...

Congratulations! There certainly is a void to fill when you quit and food is generally within arms reach. IMO, a few extra lbs is a good trade.

I ran mine straight off the mc, not by preference but more so convenience. Didn't want to plumb new lines as I couldn't break lines loose from prop valve. So far no issues.
