    nv241hd rebuild

I redid the 241 HD in my 94 cummins I bought this fall, it was doing the same thing. I had to put a shift fork in it that controls the 2 hi to netural, to 4 low. It was really easy. I did it in the truck, only took half of it apart. My chain was good and all the bearings were fine, so I only...

    Which do you like best?

Manual trans in all my rides. Why, because an auto doesnt get better with age, only worse. I can redo a manual with simople tools. It is also more efficient. Push starting is a nice option also, but I havent had to do that ever since I put optima batteries in all my cars. My brothers...

    Help ID these wheel hubs.

Its a sealed bearing, not servicable. Those torx bolts are usually tight, so make sure you have the right size torx bit when you do it. If the brakes arent being used, I would just throw all that away. Thats what I did.

    Help ID these wheel hubs.

They could be grand am or similar cars rear hubs, I have made a couple trailers as they have a 4 1/2 bolt pattern Just take the hub off and go to a parts store and ask for a grand am hub and compare, if they are smart they will get it right.
