Why couldn't I towbar my fish to cruises or drags?

This second shot is of my tow of a 72 Sat Sebring just after I got to Minn from AZ. I find towing this way is more stable than a tow dolly and easier to back up if necessary.

Why couldn't I towbar my fish to cruises or drags?

Go ahead and tow it. The first shot is from 2007 of my friend half way between AZ and Minn with a Duster towing a Dart Sport.

15x7 cragars on the front of a 69 dart?

I had a set of Cragar SS 16 X 8s on the front of a 71 Duster with the 73up discs. Picture attached I believe the backspace was 4.5". That would put the outer bead at the same distance out as a 7" with 3.5"bs. The difference I see is the Duster wheelwell flares out a bit where the Dart doesn't...

What Did You Learn To Drive In

3 horse Briggs and Strat on a tube frame go cart, then graduated to the H and M International/Farmall farm tractors. The first car was a Fred Flinstone farm car. A 54 Ford fourdoor 6cyl three on tree with OD. There was a piece of tin barn siding under the d/s floormat to keep your feet from...

sandblaster or wire brush + rust neutralizer?

I'm a fan of Por15 over sandblasted metal. but... the problem you might run into is that Por15 is so hard and shiny when it dries that there won't be much "tooth" for the fiberglass to bond to. I found it difficult to sand it was so hard. After the body flexes a few times I would expect the...

    Demon/Dart molded in fender extensions?

res1vw21 is right on the money. Also.. due to different materials, different density, I would expect them to expand and contract at different rates during temperature changes. again perhaps cracking at the union.

Steele Rubber Rant.. I am PO'd big time

I did the same on a 72 Swinger. But I reused the old seal. I cleaned the pinchweld due to rust and painted it. I installed the same window and gasket I took out and it was loose. WTF! Turns out there was foam seal (filler) that I had removed from the pinchweld during clean up. I got a thin...

71 Duster: how do you remove metal and vinyl trim under pop-out windows?

That sound right. These are the 2 types used most, they work the same.

71 Duster: how do you remove metal and vinyl trim under pop-out windows?

Do you have a chrome strip between the metal and the vinyl panel? If you do, then that holds the upper portion of the panel in place, and there will only be clips going down the front.

71 Duster: how do you remove metal and vinyl trim under pop-out windows?

Ken, Yes there are hidden screws holding the metal panel. The upholstery panel is held in place with clips that pop into the side. You will have to pry on the panel to get the clips to release. I believe there are 3 or 4 across the top and 2 or 3 more going down the front edge. You do have to...

Need help to ID supersix parts

I believe these are Super Six kickdown linkages. I took these photo's about 4 years ago for a friend that wanted to get them for his Super Six project. I don't remember why we had the other rod laying alongside. (worth 2 points?)

Anyone else NOT care about Christams?

As for me this season, I am still unemployed, no kids to enjoy the season with, and I'm in Minnesota, where I moved to take care of my 85 year old mother with a broke hip, shoveling snow instead of sunny AZ.:angry7: so this year it's Merry Frickin Humbug!

Anyone else NOT care about Christams?

I don't know about the others but Ben Franklin was not even close to being athiest. But.. He wasn't even close to all the beliefs of the church of his time either. The first here is from wikipedia, the second is from a letter he wrote about a month before he died to some guy named Ezra...

    Bushings for Clutch Rod?

I'm refering to the one on the fork. The other end anchors to a point on the bellhousing below the starter. That spring will pull forward on the fork, taking up the slack in the linkage all the way to the clutch pedal.

MagnumMPI swap - crank pickup fix?

He says 21.2 with 3.23 and BFG 295/50/15's. Likely a bit more with that big a tire. This summer he swapped in an aluminum OD, and his mileage dropped to 20ish. but with the 3.23's his rpm is so low at 55-60 that the engine is really lugging. It's really great around 80 tho. He just got a set...
