They were close but the new threads were more shallow and less pointy. I ended up twisting it on 2 turns myself and having someone else hold it while I get the third. It's centered and tight, don't see any reason to go further, hopefully it doesn't bite me in the *** later

So I've got my oil pump out, my old pickup is out as well. Upon trying to screw in the new oil pickup I found it only goes in maybe 1.5 turns before it becomes exceedingly difficult. This oil pump is from a stock 99 durango 5.9l magnum. The new pickup is from jegs/mopar performance 312-P4529563...

I'll post up a few pictures... Numbers found on carb: List-6267-2 Date: 0416 6b 6r 4585 b 7387 34r-2178b 8 Supposedly this is a 650 pulled from a 302 crate motor.. can't seem to back that info up.

Quick question on the 904 transmission. Im pretty sure this was hooked up to a 340 before it was pulled. I plan to put it on my 360 magnum. I have the flex plate and torque converter for both, my plan was to use the magnum flexplate (might require elongating a hole) and the torque converter...

Doing a 360 magnum swap, need an intake/carb I was looking at the rpm air gap and a 650cfm carb but if you have something that will work let me know!

Interior color plays a role unless you are completely replacing it...

So they didn't total her. I guess they are going to replace most of it, the innards have yet to be seen but for now the insurance company is thinking 2 weeks and 4K... I'll believe it when I see it

Well on my way home from work I got hit! Guy admitted to be at fault and his insurance is going to cover it so I'm heading to a body shop tomorrow... It sucks that this car will forever be valued lower but I'm just worried about that frame causing problems down the line. Opinions? Condolences...

I'm in the process of pulling a 5.9 out of a Durango for my 72 valiant /6, a bit more elbow grease but I expect to turn about 3-4 hundred profit. Works for me as I'm in no rush. I'm going to have to buy the mounts, because mine was the /6 but the 318 should be the same...

I am going to be replacing my entire interior.. Going to paint and use some kind of sound deadening material... But I LOVE that old car smell of vinyl and carpet.. Reminds me of the smell of my moms old jeep.. Will it go away or does new vinyl/carpet and headliners make a similar smell? Lol most...

Well the project was at a bit of a standstill but I was still keeping an eye on the big picture... Managed to get a 99 durango with the 5.9L magnum and a recently rebuilt tranny for $400!! Going to give a couple people a test drive on the transmission before I pull it for them, should net 500...

Pardon my ignorance, what's the "lockup" Wow... I pulled my slant 6 from my 72 valiant.. I had no idea the 904 was just the 3 spd auto for the slant.. It looks like the right one sitting in my garage.. Time to look into what mods need to be done Edit my edit: s6 904 =/= v8 904
