    8 3/4" Rear questions..

I managed to put my hands on a complete 8 3/4 rear for my Dart, Great shape, 2881489 casting number, Moser axles, great deal. It's supposedly a B-Body rear and by my best measurements, it is. The questions are: 1. What am I going to have to do/have done to fit this under my '72? 2. Since...

    steering shaft threads

So, the threads on my steering shaft that hold the main nut have been gummed up beyond repair. I figured that I would just get a threading die and cut some new threads. Until I found out that a die that big is $40. Anybody got any ideas, or want to loan me a die for a minimal fee ?

Temples Auto Salvage in Batesburg-Leesville, SC. DO NOT GO HERE. While it is loaded with a boatload of Mopar parts cars, the assclown running it is apparently not in the business of making money. I called him on looking to pick up a steering column and engine brackets and he says he's got...

    Newport question...

My brother has a 62 Chrysler Newport, with a tortion front end setup. Apparently, the control arm screws into the bar, and his threads are chewed up. The 'Zone and others can't help him find a replacement. Anyone know of something that would work from another Mopar?

    Might be a stupid question...

Will a 8 3/4 rear from an E body ('70 Barracuda) fit under an A body ('72 Dart)? The only reason I ask is because I might be able to get my hands on a dirt cheap 8 3/4, but I don't want to drive 3 1/2 hours to Georgia to get it and find out it won't fit.
