    Use a quality graded bolt. Atleast a grade 5. And yes run a bolt though them and use a nut and appropriate washers

    Is your daughter mechanically inclined? Shooting stuff into the engine can be dangerous not only for her but also damage something else. Call your AAA and have it towed to someone who can help. No need to damage anything else.

    Take it off! Check pressure again. Make sure the original system is good. Then you know for dang sure the problem is in your remote system.

    I guess my take would be this. If you had the cam since new and knew how it was used condition and such go for it. But if you are buying used I would say spend the few extra bucks and get a new set up.

    Yup pop the valve cover off and start over with a piston stop. Watch your #1 cyl. for your TDC using your piston stop. Make sure both valves are closed on #1 cyl. Once you do that set it at about 10* BTDC and stab your dizzy pointing to the #1 cyl.

    Lol bolting on NOS is going to use MORE fuel. 5/16 is limiting.... even if you switch lines to 3/8 its still coming out a 5/16ths hole. These guys are trying to help you. On the top end a motor can actually starve for fuel which is where the bigger feed comes into play.

    Bolts would be greasy if who ever put it together used moly lube which i hope they did. Just a thought if the pistons came out of the hole you may be above 10 to 1

    I dont know what others use but I used the depth end of my calipers to measure this. Bring the piston up slowly might take you a few turns you will notice as it comes up there will be sort of a dead spot for just a bit then back down. Once you hit that dead spot you are at TDC.

    You could pop the pan and look up at the pistons they should have a part number and bore size. If not sell it as a good runnin 360 with good intake and dist and be done with it.

    Stroker and budget doesnt go together. Perhaps a budget number would help? Does your 360 you have run now? What kind of set up just stock? If this is primairly a street car and on a budget I would stay with a hyd flat tappet cam.

    I dont think you can always rely on a formula like that. that really depends on the build each one is different.
