Pontiac did it too, remember the GTO and how they turned it into a soap bar econo looking car that screamed ricer? I actually like the new camaro and challengers exterior-wise... but I seriously HATE the interiors and all the excess plastic they jam into the engine bay and the fact engine bays...
Solution? Buy vintage, upgrade with "american only" modern parts. Sure you're probably not gonna get all the nice amenities of keeping your balls toasty with heated seats, traction control and anti lock.. but of course you could take that on.
It's why I don't want to buy a brand new dodge...
Sorry, my bad. I was so out of it when I got home, killer hang over. Was a big family gathering of a friends, we ended up having a little after hour party in a barn with seagram 7... a really big bottle. I'm still hiccuping and have a fractured finger or dislocated finger, I can't so much tell...
Gold duster 3 spd 4 cyl at this bar, been parked there forever nobody knows who owns it, gonna see if its an abandoned vehicle or what then go from there. Seems pretty straight, little rust in left quarter and fender but nothing too bad. :blob:
I'd refer it as "lil ****" or "mini-duster" I like the early 70s ones best. Seems so easy to work on, just re-enforce the frame and drop a mild 340 in it... I bet the tires would fly off LOL :(
I remember seeing one 9 years ago. It's like a stubby little duster/demon. If I knew where one was I'd grab it just to do something different. Seems like it would be fun, not to mention most people never even heard of them. Any of you drive one? What do they drive like?
Hm...
I'd be wary and check it throughly, my reasoning is the paint. So much orange peel. It looks like this guy paid $2000 for it, threw a $400 buck paint job on it and is trying to flip it. Also the underside and engine is dirty. Can't tell if the block he's including REALLY has that work...
Well of course, it's science man. Stuff's dangerous and goes boom. Not unlike playing around with high horsepower engines, I'm sure everybody here has had a moment of extreme pain and cursing but most of you guys stay within the limits of sanity :D

I am definitely not held responsible for anything that goes boom or limbs lost etc. If you got a microwave laying around you don't use and want a quick and cheap spot welder and don't mind ..... uh yeah you know...
I've worked on plenty of cars, none of them seen the end and I always have issues arise, cranky neighbors complaining about disc grinding, landlords being pissed, friend screwed me out of 2 titles (I was young and stupid... what a "friend") and the biggest issue of all, has always been money.
Lol no no... its not my duster anymore... anyways he wants it, I told him cash cause clearly I'm too retarded to be in this hobby right now. I need money and I don't have garage space or enough tools or money to play around like most of you old farts who long retired and do this in your spare...
$3,500 and that duster for
This
Bottom line; his brother was desperate and impatient. I jumped the offer and made out like a bandit in terms of value but have yet to have luck. I went through the parts and searched them, the cost of the parts, even when deducted for resale makes far more...
Basically I offered $3,500 cash for his drag racing barracuda and my 1970 duster project which was solid except for the rear quarters and fenders which I paid $750 for
He seen my ad on craigslist to part it out, chewed me out about me saying it's not street legal and saying it just needed...
It's got a cop motor, a 440 cubic inch plant, it's got cop tires, cop suspensions, cop shocks. It's a model made before catalytic converters so it'll run good on regular gas. What do you say, is it the new Bluesmobile or what?
FoMoCo may have introduced that, but there's a company that's been making whole bodies for a while.
Funny thing about this is... chipping out 15k for a shell, when you can buy an original GT350 for that... and a legit rustang for 5k-7k in decent condition... Ford must be smoking some serious stuff.
Nice, did you use stock trans for the RX7? I've drove one before, they have pep but arent anything amazing engine wise (the stock engine, not 360) but the transmission has that "fake manual" type which is fun to F$%^ with.
I'm having trouble finding a whole front end (fenders/grill/hood) in fiberglass, flip open style... for the purpose of price. Gonna part out my car, definitely don't need or want it... don't know what to sell it for? would easily trade it for steel parts.. Guessing I won't get much and might as...
