I watched this video test the boiling point of fuel. I noticed around the 6 minute mark that the fuel is at 80 degrees and is vaporizing up the side of the jar and running back down. I guess this is why carburetors drip fuel down into the intake after shutdown. Skip to the 5-6 minute mark.

I just installed a brand new six pack setup on my 340. When I back the idle screw all the way out shouldn't the engine die or at least go to a low enough idle that would almost shut off?

Is a stock replacement (parts store brand) mechanical fuel pump enough to run a six pack setup? Or should I upgrade to a higher volume nechanical fuel pump, like a carter?
