I was wondering if I could support the car on 4 tall stands when lifted up on the hoist? I want to check pinion angle. I would put 2 under rear axle and 2 up front on the frame. Thank you for any advise.

How loose should the slip yoke be in a 904 tailshaft? I can move the yoke up and down in the tail, shouldn't it be tight?

Is there a calculator or can someone figure the ideal gear ratio, if the constants are known? Such as peak hp, peak rpm, tire size, etc. Also, should peak rpm be obtained when crossing the traps?

I changed the lube in my 904 and when I took the pan off, there was filings on the bottom. It looked like a silver grit and was kinda gooey, I believe that is because of the oil. There was about a 1/2 cup of this stuff. Is this normal or what is the matter? It also stuck to the magnet in the pan.

What is the length of a stock abody rear outside to outside of the bearing flanges and when the axles and brake drums are on? I have seen both 51.4 and 52 5/8.

What axles work best to shorten and respline when you shorten your 8 3/4 down 2 1/2" per side? I want lbp axles.

I am planning on changing my tc and am wondering if I can just move the tranny backwards in the car and remove the tc without dropping the fluid out first. Or will the fluid run out the front?
