Correct me if I’m mistaken but the 1973+ models received some “improved” side impact protection in the form of steel beams in the doors. How much steel is in there? Is it worth removing these beams to save the weight? Do they even really make the car that much safer?

My '73 (318 powered) Dart Sport has the unpainted grille but I have always loved the black one like the gorgeous car in the attached (borrowed) picture. Can anyone point to a source to this part? If they're hard to come by, would it be possible to replicate this part by masking/painting...

My 318 Dart Sport has a pretty sissy looking sway bar up front. Did the high performance versions have beefier ones? Does it make a worthwhile difference in how the car would handle? Thanks!!

Hey, everybody! This forum seems amazing! I have a 1973 Dart Sport that's in pretty good shape, just need tidy a few body issues up and then get to work on swapping out the 318. I am looking for some tail light trim like what you see in this picture...
