1969 Barracuda 340 Formula S Restoration

Could be one of these 3!!!!
1 white stripe - 1.375" pinion and 7260 yoke
2 white stripes 1.875" pinion and 7260 yoke
3 white stripes 1.875" pinion and 7290 yoke

If sure grip, there was an added orange stripe like on the photo of my axle, plus orange paint around the filler plug like my photo

The paint stripes on the springs were there to identify the springs to go on the car. Some cars had different springs left and right and will have different colors. The only way to know for sure on A bodies is to see if any color remnants remain. I haven't been able to find a list of those colors for A bodies so far.

thanks RealWing, appreciate you taking the time to explain the paint daubs... Rich

Rear end, exhaust and drive shaft installed and back on all 4 wheels.

Another problem with emergency brake cables. One is too long (or one too short). New reproduction parts from Right Stuff but not always right. More gnashing of teeth!!

One brake cable, try sending them above picture and tell them you want correct length. I'd think if they're reputable they'd at minimum reply and attempt to resolve.
Looking pretty darn good

Ready to install my original rad. Was restored by Glen Ray, who do excellent work. Supposed to be fairly rare 3 core rad.

Finally got the AC/Heater box installed. It is a heavy awkward thing to wrestle into position!!! Also installed the wiper linkage.
View attachment 1715678131 View attachment 1715678132 your under the dash pictures have helped me numerous times in putting my barracuda back together, thanks so much for your excellent work and documentation of it . Let me know if you will be at Chrysler Carlisle, I'll be there with my barracuda, I'm hopefully going to sell it to finish my 70 road runner.
