have a 1965 dodge dart with the 273 2 barrel carb. bought car with most of front of engine missing. found most everything but am having trouble with the timing tab. would love any help for finding part or pictures would help too. thanks, jim.

Lookup a post here from about 2 wks ago. There were actually at least 2 different sheet-metal timing tabs, 5 deg apart, so get the correct one for 1965. I know some people here have some spares.

the tab is a bolt on type should be same small block tab up to 68. In 69 they started casting them in the covers. You could use the 69 cover if you can find one and wanted to do the work to change it. In 70 they change the tab to the left side.

(edit) interesting Bill didn't know there were two different bolt on ones.

thanks alot for the info, cosgig do u want to sell the one that is right for me?

Sorry, but as mentioned in my post above, that is the one the OP of that thread needed as well, and I sold it to him! Geof

If none responds to the positive. I might have one I will have to take a closer look. I have a friend that's a 273 collector I'll check with him also.

Here's a couple shots of the one on my 66 273. Yours should be similar. tmm

That's the longer version correct for 66 cars! He could probably use that but he would also need the balancer to correspond with the longer scale! Geof

Good thing I used the word "similar" lol. Lots of differences with these old cars and their parts. Thanks Geof! tmm
