I don’t remember … I didn’t see a cam spec listed for the intended use of a max of 5500. Stroker or not, that cam &.050 is a few degrees on ether side (cam lobe design dependent) 220@.050. Probably less. The Victor need not apply. The RPM-AG is definitely the right intake. (Non-AG is fine) Then the Weiand. Then nothing that is a new in the box intake at least.

(Posting while I type a reply huh?!? :D)

Your missing out! Have you tried one on the street yet? It makes power down low just fine. I had bought into the idea of dual plane is the only way for any street use. That is not true! Single plane can do just fine in any street driving experience. My dart sport 360 is mostly street. 3.91's out back and a 9.5" FTI 3400-3600 stall converter.

I have a running driving car with a Victor on it...I have personally had engines on the Dyno with both intakes...I'm going with the Air Gap...

Only suggested since you already have it. That way you can get things rolling.

I get it…but every small block I have watched on the dyno pulls to at least 5500 harder with an air gap over a single plane

but with a 4" crank it's not really a small block any more, at least not in cu in anyway. you'll miss out on 'the drive' while you wait for what you see as 'perfection'. as mentioned above use the victor you have until you get what you want. then tell us the seat of the pants difference, if you notice much of one.

if you guys want to convince him to use the victor, google search some dyno results on a 408 with the intake and show that the stroker will make the torque he wants...

I don’t have the experience with a 400+ SBC much less with one with a Victor, 3.23’s and what ever cam works well with that combo for a mad torque monster.

When we get to the heads done and the flow numbers I will ask for some cam opinions...it will be a custom grind for sure and I will likey call a few places Comp, Isky , Struab Tech and see what they recommend...might even send a cam to Oregon for a re-grind

The single plane intakes need a good bit more cam to be taken advantage of. 235*@.050? LMAO!

For what you want to do?
If that 360 in the link is any indication, similar cam with 8* more duration, plus or minus 2*’s.

I would be expecting 235-240* @.050 with a hydro cam. add ~5-8* for a solid lifter. Ask about running a cam with .875" ford lobes. might be able to get close to .550" lift. Howards has some profiles that would get there...
if you don't mind a stinky idle, 108LSA..

I’m in the same area. A little more duration and a bit of lift to take advantage of the head flow. You’ll get there for sure.

I paid $1278 to my door for the 171 maxx. I realize you are talking Canadian monies. Shipping has to be killing you.
