I have a friend that is a FuelTech dealer. I may save up some cash and go that route. It's been a struggle to tune, especially with E85. Not much documentation. I would go Megasquirt or some other MPI if money weren't an issue.

Probably not that many. Less than 3k I would say.How many miles are on those bearings?
I think it would have kept living had that distributor you sold me hadn't shaken loose and advanced the timing too far! LOLSo if you had to do it all over, and wanted this to live "Forever" where would you have set the boost, and timing?
hindsight![]()
LOL...was it MY distributor, or YOUR bolt?lolI think it would have kept living had that distributor you sold me hadn't shaken loose and advanced the timing too far! LOL
Neither. The distributor and bolt were in working order. It was the guy holding the wrench. LolLOL...was it MY distributor, or YOUR bolt?lol

lol. so for real. what boost and timing would you call "safe..ish"Neither. The distributor and bolt were in working order. It was the guy holding the wrench. Lol
I think up to 10psi and ~ 20* timing is safe. 12psi on track night, 5-7psi for plenty of fun and lots of mileage.lol. so for real. what boost and timing would you call "safe..ish"
Those bearings don't look good. It looks like the ring butted the ends together. The ring land is broken not melted. Melted would be detonation/ lean AF. When they pop the ring land off like that its because the ring stopped in the cylinder.

That'll fix that stock trans and rear end problem my old B body has5-7 psi gets you in trouble quick, wheelspin city!
