Hi,
I know that harnesses/computers are available that allow a late model Hemi to be fitted into any vehicle but does anyone make a system that allows the use of the auto from a late model SRT as well. Most of the threads I have been reading use either an early model auto or a manual to make the conversion simple.

Any info appreciated.

Nope.
That is the main reason that I have not seriously looked into swapping an 8 speed auto into one of my cars. The FCA group has a death grip on the electronics that nobody has been able to crack yet.
The A8 is a huge transmission too, if the electronics can be figured out, you will need some metal fabrication skills!

Hmm. Which transmission? I'm installing a 2013 6.4L with NAG1 from a Charger SRT into a 1964 Valiant. Using a Hotwire harness for both the motor and trans. Give Chris at Hotwire a call, 479-243-9115. You will need to open up the tunnel but nothing crazy. Also need a slip yoke/U joint, which any drive shaft shop will make you. You can do it!

Thanks for the info. Have you had yours started / driven? I am looking at 6.4L with NAG1 in an Aussie Valiant. There are lots of late model transplants here but nobody I have found is using a late model auto. I don't want to use an old 3 speed auto. I will speak with Hotwire.

I am doing the same install on my 1967 barracuda. Would love to know what you find out. Also trying to use the srt8 cluster and need to find a way to reprogram for the speedometer

I am starting to think it may be easier to drop in a LSA and auto. 6.4 gen 3s are thin on the ground here in Australia and very expensive as well. The LS would provide good cheap power and there are plenty available. I am not a purist.

What are you doing for a speedometer

For my Cuda I used the silver sport tranny. Four speed auto with the tci controller. Bolted right up to the 392 with no issues.

The only problem is I wanted to use the nag-1 trans to have 5speed trans but now have to mount wheel speed sensors. Just more work lol
