The numbers are cast in the back, not raised numbers. Sometimes they are very faint.
Well that's good news. But here's the back side. looks like a decent weld/repair. Now if I can get my $$ back on it. what would it be worth otherwise ?

What does it look like on the inside behind the repair? It might be a "patch" over a crack.

I would be willing to bet you can sell that to someone. A braze repair can hold up quite well on cast.
