I am nearing the point of needing to get a intercooler for layout on my car.
470 B motor with a F1X pump gas street car.
I was planning on running A2W on a boost switch and was wondering if a person can go too big on an intercooler.

I was going to run a cheap frozenboost type 12 and run 4" pipe.
Is it bad to run too big of pipe and intercooler?
Blowthrough carb application.

i wouldn't worry about a boost switch for the a2w cooler just have the pump run with key on, and no the 4" should be good depends on the carb hat you have might need to reduce it or step it up if it's a 5" inlet.

that's what I needed. What about blow off vales I have one red should I mount it before the hat or before the intercooler? should I add a second unit by the hat to handle the boost when or if I chop the throttle?

Interesting, I've seen them on both, I'd go before the carb hat, how big is your current blow off? If you wanted to run two you can wouldn't hurt. If you can just run the pump for the intercooler with key on, and it's up to you if you want to run just a loop circuit or use a ice box, if you go ice box can get one with a rule pump, these are awesome pumps lots of high hp cars runs these in their ice boxes.
