And yet so many keep on responding to these type of threads anywaysOh good, another thread about the future of the hobby and how the next generation doesn't care. Let's throw in what's going on with classic car prices, and let all the misanthropic members with a persecution complex whine about how nothing is like it used to be and how everything is worse now.
Every generation, EVERY GENERATION, has whined about the up coming generations, you can track this back to the earliest written words.
“The children now love luxury; they have bad manners, contempt for authority; they show disrespect for elders and love chatter in place of exercise. Children are now tyrants, not the servants of their households. They no longer rise when elders enter the room. They contradict their parents, chatter before company, gobble up dainties at the table, cross their legs, and tyrannize their teachers.”
― Socrates
Yeah that Socrates. Generational Blame: A Brief History
Good news! In the future you'll be dead, so you won't see what happens!
Exactly!
And 100 years ago guys your age were complaining about the kids being into those new-fangled automobiles and motorcycles instead of taking care of horses.

Or a Dan's nervous about the car he is looking to buy so needs advise on the pretend car purchase.Maybe we can make this thread as long as the one about wind bag blow hard angry at the world click bait Joe video?
Yep, he posts and everybody piles on. (well not everybody)Or a Dan's nervous about the car he is looking to buy so needs advise on the pretend car purchase.
Good for 14 plus I pages and a locked thread.
The first time to 'drive' a simulator was probably 20+ years ago and well, it was very enjoyable!Hotrodding and hotrods are still being enjoyed by younger people more than you know, they're just doing it in a different way!

LOL.....it was much more sophisticated than that but that was probably way ahead of it's time. Our school didn't use any but heard of some that had them.
There was a core of 8 guys and their wives who always did everything.
I dropped out of our Mopar club for that exact reason.seems like its that way in all the clubs. only a few do all the work while others take credit and complain the most.
A friend of mine found a bunch of those, up in Flint Mi. They were in storage. He bought every steering-wheel.
Junkyards near me are filled with LX platform cars. A kid could literally build something out of stock junk scrap and it would be a faster better car than any 50+ year old car and cost a hell of a lot less.Lol another one...... because hot rodding as you call it isnt cheap anymore. 20 years ago pick aparts were full of 70s cars etc. Now lucky to find 90s cars in them etc. Just the car scene is moving. U can get a modern car with a few mods that will out handle and be faster than your 50-100k muscle car. Plus also be way more reliable. Muscle cars and hot rodding is a rich mans game.
So did I.i see we followed the same path. unfortunately i foolishly made it my profession...
And yes that Mopar steering wheel looks like NOS and they used to bring that $$$$$ / If you could find one!!!!!
you fool! you fell victim to one of the classic blunders! So did I.
It turned into a career of being a heavy truck mechanic.you fool! you fell victim to one of the classic blunders!
I did it with my daughter, we had a blast, she was the best co-pilot ever!My son did Hotrod power tour
Very generous.I would love to GIVE one of my project cars to an interested teenager to fix up, and to help guide them
well... at least it wasn't a land war in asia!It turned into a career of being a heavy truck mechanic.
I doubt that too. The records for attendance are probably made up by the company that puts on the event, hahahah...Records for attendance?
Ya, the gamers get all the women. The younger guys figured it out, you get more tail when you're not covered in grease and smell like gas.
I ain't gonna lie, has anyone been on a subway lately? It's creepy as f***. You're surrounded by 100 zombies with their faces planted in their phones, totally unaware of the world around them... If this is the future of humanity, then stop and let me off. It's making people lazy. I still say that it's going to be one of the down falls of our country. Do kids really learn in school anymore? If they don't know a answer to a question they don't research it out instead they pull out their cell phones or lap tops, it's sad very sad.
