List of Best Street Performance Camshafts for "340-360"

I'm using a Lunati VooDoo 702 cam in a 340 based 372ci engine. 220-226 degrees at .050 and I have Magnum heads with the 1.6 ratio rocker arms for a little lift bump. Edelbrock Air Gap intake and a 650 Eddy carb stock exhaust manifolds.
The 904 trans has a TransGo kit in it and a low gear set with a 9 1/2" 2800 stall converter. A 3:55 rear gear and a Detroit locker diff.
The car idles like a stock 340 but is shockingly quick thru first and second gear.
I miss 69 440 Cuda! I loved his post, they were so entertaining.

I run the same cam. It runs nice and sounds awesome! Many here don't like it. But I think its great. I run it in a 360 dart sport. 3.91's out back. 3400-3600 FTI 9.5" converter.

I built the car and motor back in 1999 / 2000, and it has been running ever since. I know there are "better" nasty street cams out there now, but I like this car the way I built it. I was 21 years old back in '99, and this was the first "nice" car I put together. Ripping in this thing takes me back a couple of decades when life was simpler!

Oh that’s a fun combo right there! It is similar to my wife’s ‘67 Cuda. 4*’s more cam in a Hyd roller and a few cubes down being it’s a .030-360. I just swapped on Trick Flow heads w/1.6 rockers. It really picks up well on the tach’s big end. A great street runner IMO.

LMAO! OH yea! The combo he has is reall a nice simple recipe that is fun. No doubt. I coupled mine with 4.10’s with the 4spd manual. Great fun!

My next 340 is getting the lunati 703 cam with 1.5 rockers and I'm hoping it pulls enough vacuum to work power brakes but I really like the racer brown cams. The SSH-44 is awesome and used them many years ago as well. I also used a few .508 purple shafts. They have updated them to have a more street friendly idle but I'm old school and always went with the old grind. Ultimately the early, original 340 stock cam isn't no puppy either if you like long cruises.

It's not running yet but, my 360 (now 371) has a 702 as well. Factory heads been ported and cut to 65cc around 10.5:1 , my stall is boss hogg 2200 stall I may need more but I got a great deal on it I will eventually get a better one. But I think it will be a fun combo

Interesting combo and specs , I was thinking about beast camshaft from Crower brand or otherwise I would use racer brown for 340 or 360 engines . I like to hear more as my application I would want use 4 speed and 3.55 drop in 72 340 4 speed duster.
