Wow, 11 days and 8 pages to answer a simple question. OK fine!!! I understand why the OP has decided to pass on this car, but the amount of questionable information given to him is mind boggling. The retail value of these cars moves around more than a belly dancer! The time of year, how close to an auction, what movie just came out, the car's color, engine size, drive train, bucket seats, personal connections, inventory, and on and on. I bring these cars back to life, because that is my passion. Do I make money at it, not really, when you count the hours invested. I am happy as long as I don't lose money. My wife, not so much. I usually sell way too cheap. My cars are like new: Paint striped, epoxy primed, body damage repaired or replaced, BC/CC, engines rebuilt (heads, cam, rings, bearings, water pump, oil pump, carb, and on and on), new or rebuilt seats, new carpet, and on and ..... you get the idea. They end up as close to factory as I can get them, right down to the factory decals. That being said, the market will only support a certain price point. Once there, all the little/big extras will not push the needle very much, it is just money being thrown away for pride in workmanship. I don't put a value on a car based on some photos as I have driven too many hours to look at absolute crap that looked pretty good in the pics. I can, however, give a price range based on my experiences in the market in general. Some may not agree, for one reason or another, but this is my opinion so here it is. This car, based on the market, availability, and "average" condition would be 20-22K in my opinion. And yes, opinions are like assholes, everyone has one; but the days of buying this car for under 20K have gone the way of the dodo.
