Hey folks, I paintnd my heads before installing them on the motor. Did a fairly thick paint job using 2k paint. After bolting the heads down, I noticed the paint is chipping off. And I'm wondering, is having this paint under the head of the bolt a problem?

Would you take the bolts off, remove the paint, and retorque the bolts down?

I am pretty sure the answer is no problems. but if you choose to remove the bolts to clean up the areas, you should remove all of the head's bolts and retorque them all in sequence. Removing the bolts now may drop paints chips into the bolt holes. Me I would take a paint brush and dab them, the manifold will hide most of it.

it may help with corrosion under the head, and in the hole between the bolt/head
lightly chip the ugly off, and art brush touch it up

looks very nice, now lets fire this mopar up...
