Well since I finally started working on the new Duster, I figured I would start a build thread. A little history on how this build came to be. My 1st Duster of 23+ years was totaled by a drunk driver on my way home from the Fall Fling Oct 09. Here's the link to that thread. http://www.forabodiesonly.com/mopar/showthread.php?t=77674 Dave & Johnny started a fund raiser to get a new body for me to replace the totaled one. Here's the link to that thread http://www.forabodiesonly.com/mopar/showthread.php?t=100651
Given my circumstances with life in general, it's gonna be a slow build but I had to start on it to keep my sanity. I have a vision in my mind of how I want the car to look..achieving that goal is gonna take a while. The plan is a pro touring build but painted exactly the same as the 1st Duster. No sunroof this time since the one in the old car leaked & was just a pain after a while. Plans are a 6.1 HEMI, 6spd manual trans, RMS front & rear suspension. Don't have the trans yet, have the other items on the list. I have gotten plenty of ideas from other builds on here that I can't wait to use.
1st set of pics are where she as been sitting since she was delivered to my moms house.

I talked to my boss & they are letting me bring the Duster to work & I get to work on her after work & on the weekends. The day I loaded the Duster up for the trip to my work was on the anniversary of the 1st Duster.

I found these signatures on the inside of the roof rail area..kinda cool that assembly workers did this. I made up some body casters to mount to the front bumper frame mounts. car rolls real easy now. Got the seats & carpet pulled out also.

Pulled the front end minus the hood off..found a little bit of rust holes in the kick plate area. This section is good on the other Duster so it will get cut out to patch this spot. The passenger foot well has a small rust hole too but the other Duster will give up that section too.

This group of pictures is when I pulled all the glass, trim, qtr windows & roof rail moldings, dash board & everything behind the dash. Also pulled the tail lights & the fuel filler neck & the emissions vent tube. I need to make another set of body casters for the rear so I can pull the rear end out so I can get her ready for blasting & epoxy primer the whole shell.
