So Kyle Busch wins another Nationwide race at Nashville tonight, then takes the custom-painted Gibson guitar given to him as the winners trophy and smashes it in the Winners Circle area thinking he's a rock star.
IMO, a totally disrespectful classless act to do on national television. Granted, it's his trophy and he can do with it what he wants. But the track went to some expense to present this immature idiot with this trophy and someone went to a lot of effort in decorating it.
I just think he showed a total lack of respect for both the track and racing as a whole. You can't deny his talent as a driver but he needs to grow up big time.
(Can you tell I'm not a Shrub fan?)
And all this after saying in an interview before tonights race that he didn't radio the fact that he had a front tire go down before the final restart at the end of last weeks race because he was hoping to stack up the field behind him and cause a wreck that would have given him the win - it was a green/white/checker instance and any wreck would have frozen the field and given him the win. Again, Shrub only thinking of himself, not caring if anybody else may have been injured in the wreck he was hoping to cause.
NASCAR needs to sit this child down for awhile until he grows up.

Yeah that was really an appatizer before the real racing started on ESPN2. Even though I said I would never watch NASCAR again after cautions for "debris" would come out coincidently when one of the drivers with major sponsors needed one and that horrible top 35 in owners points are guaranteed a qualifying spot I still find myself watching it.

As far as how Kyle Busch acted I'm really not suprised. I couldn't agree more that NASCAR needs to do something about that HR Nightmare. If he is going to win a race I change the channel so I don't have to listen to him complain about something that was so bad that it affected him winning the race. What a jackass.

I'd of been happy to take the guitar off of his hands if he was gunna do that to it. I could barely afford my guitar stuff and it isnt even that good! What an idiot.

I've been sick of shrub for a long while. He's a great driver no doubt but he needs to show a ton more respect for the sport.

I did not know about this tile know :tongue9:Thank you ocdart:cheers:
I agree =D> The man for this job to site him down would be Mark Martin.
I agree the boy needs to have an adjustment and there is know one better than a small old fart.:-k:bball:
THank you again for the up date oc:thumleft:

Yea that was total disrepect, I said i would never watch nascar when they let toyoata in are should i say bought there way in, But after a year i started watchin again, they took the truck series over, pretty soon they''ll have it all, My wifes been threatin to cut our cable off i get so stressed, watchin the races i'm a big time yota hater, if people would quit buying that crap, this country could get back on there feet, IT would be differnt if it was a better product, but it's not people or brainwashed, or just don't give acrap about our country

I've been a guitar player since I was give one at age seven (and I'm 70, so I guess that 63 years.)

That doesn't make me an expert of any kind, but I have always been mystified when watching the deliberate destruction of perfectly good guitars that could make some youmg person extremely happy to have.

I am not sure what it accomplishes to destroy a guitar, but I know what could be accomplished to place that guitar in the hands of an appreciative teenager who aspires to play well, but for one reason or another, can't acquire a quality instrument to play.

It seems very selfish and downright foolish to me.

I've played a Fender solid body that I bought in 1966, for 43 years, and while I am happy with that guitar, I'd bet the one Kyle smashed would make my ol' Fender sound like a pile of junk...

He needs to re-think that kind of behavior.

Just my 2-cents...

If he didn't want the guitar, sign the thing, and put it on an Ebay auction and give the money to your favorite chartity!!

No appreciation for all the hard work someone put into that thing. What a tool.

That's pretty disrespectful. Thats like you letting someone borrow your car and you get it back trashed from them beating the **** out of it.
So here's too you Kyle Busch!:thebirdm::thebirdm:

NASCAR is boring anyway and most of the drivers are tools, even the most revered of all Dale Sr. was a dick.

NASCAR was losing money and interest when they made a marketing decision to change the focus from the cars (because they were only Fords and GM's anyway) to the personalities. It worked to. They just made it a soap opera of racing. It's no longer about the performance, and the so called car of tomorrow is the stupidest looking thing I've ever seen. I hate it.

So how come there wasn't a thread about Allen Johnson winning Pro Stock last weekend with an absolutely dominating performance?

I used to watch NASCAR , but too many commercials and Jackasses like him has soured me.

Yeah nascar blows. I was a diehard fan but its just m.heltons puppet show anymore. K. Busch is a punk. This is what happen's when everything is given to you. He won't keep winning forever(maybe whining forever) Look at all the top winners. How much does Gordon win anymore? Who alot of people disliked back when he was always up front. But he has ton's more class.

Oh yeah, i'm not a gordon fan.

Go Kasey

Allen Johnson does deserve some recognition for last week. He ran the tables in Topeka (In a Mopar even). Not to mention he didn't smash his trophy like someone else did recently. Allen Johnson is one of the many guys in the NHRA that has more class than all the NASCAR drivers combined. That's why I always find a way to go to at least one NHRA event a year. Much more bang for your buck.

Seems to be a Busch family trait, arrogance and stupidity, Thats why everybody boo's when they are introduced.

I didn't hear any boos when he got out of the car. The guy is good, maybe even great. I'm not a fan of his, but this kid has talent. What you saw with smashing of the instrument, was that these drivers have are no concept of money or tradition.. Whens the last time he had to pay for something. I am so tired of hearing these drivers complain about the COT & how hard it is to drive. The bottom line is it separates the DRIVERS from the valet parkers (AKA JUNE BUG). Right now there isn't alot of drivers out there, but this kid is a DRIVER. Now the act I felt was disrespectful & I wonder how nascar will spin this with its southern fan base.

Guess what happens when inbreeding takes over the family tree? You get a Busch.

I have an idea. ding, ding, ding..

Let's find out what other sporting events this guy loves other than racing cars, say, maybe he's a basketball fanatic.

Let's wait until the final game and the winners take all, then we will award that team a brand new nascar equipped race car with all the features and then some.
I'm talking this thing is equipped with everything the nascar guys wish they could have installed in their cars but the rules won't allow.

Have the camera's go over the car for 15-20 minutes going over all the special equipment to the point where this guys is salivating like a 6 month old baby.
Then.........fire that sucker up and crash it straight into a wall at 200 mph.!!!!!

There, that should do it.

I stoped watching nascar. They turned it into a sope opra and took the focous off of the racing. The COT is a POS and toyota? Things went down hill fast.

I don't watch anymore but for the record yota builds more cars in the US than our beloved Ma Mopar and possibly Ford as well so those are American jobs you want to give away -thats the sort of logic that really has your country in the mess its in. but back on the real subject I stopped watching because generic cars running restrictor plates equals boring racing and the drivers know it which is why some of them do otherwise dumb things to generate publicity for the sport oh look it worked we're talking about it on a site that has nothing to do with the product they build or sell
