Ehhh... I use mine once a year......
I havent used it for a few months, but i think back to the bottle jack and swinging press days…
9PM PDT on CBS Kenny Rogers concert recorded just before his passing if you're interested. I bet the times are adjusted for the different time zones.
Well I just got home from our annual trap shoot and dinner. I came out on top in the twenty gauge division, but lost overall by one bird. I figure second place against all those 12s is ok! Great time.
How'd it go man?
I like 20ga. I studied the ballistics very closely and compared them to the 12ga. 20ga doesn't give up much in the way of performance.
Cool... I don't have a shotgun with a barrel longer than 20" so you'd kick my butt regardless of gauge.
Very first time I ever shot trap 17 birds with a 20" 20ga. My boss that invited me that shot all the time "Gimme that! WTF are you shooting? 20ga?" He proceeded to blast 20 in his next round with it. "Not bad. I could get used to that."
I I should drag the Zombie Slayer out to the Rod & Gun some time then
Got them picked up. Nice guy and had a good chat as well as a smooth drive home. I will stash them in my storage garage tomorrow.
The biggest difference is in shot weight difference. Twenty =7/8 of ounce in shot and 12 is an ounce and a 1/8 of shot. But in the end nobody asks how? Just how many!
I traded my Marlin 30-30 lever gun straight across for a brand new Mossberg 500 20ga Youth Model. I liked my Marlin but after experimenting with pointy bullets in it and their superior performance over the normal 30-30, 1 in the chamber and 1 in the magazine just didn't do it for me. I found a 30-30 bolt gun at a gun show not long ago for next to nuthin'
High caliber rifles are pretty easy to find. People tend to buy them due to a fad (7mm) or name (30.06//30-30) Then they shoot them and get knocked on their ass...or carry it through the brush all day and can't lift their arms. Next thing you know it's on the used gun rack with only like 10 rounds through it.
My 30.06 was one of my faves but the new brat and her expenses took priority. .06 had to go, and I made money on the deal .
I've only ever parted ways with one firearm.... wish I hadn't but everything since then has stayed
My face hurts That was a solid hour of smiles
One of these nights I'm going to sleep through the night lol!
it's nacho 30 in the middle of the night
Sleepless night. Have to remember to buy a fire extinguisher tomorrow. Bet i cant find one in town. Especially a car bracket.
Sleepless nights are when my best ideas hit me. Tonight I'm really thinking I need to Mangum 360 swap my dart. For years I was thinking the older the engine the better it is but now I'm thinking I need the 360 magnum out of a wrecked late 90s dodge ram I know of.
I really hate Halloween. Who thought of this bullshit of scaring women and kids for no reason. This creepy shit is just in my way to start decorating for Christmas. The best holiday ever other than Easter. Jesus is such a rock star He has his own holiday.
That's a good choice. I woke up at 2 and instead of tossing and turning I just got up.
The guy also has a wrecked Durango with a 4.7 but I've heard several times that the 4.7 is mercedes Benz bullshit and doesn't need to be put in a real mopar. Too bad because I could get 3 of them for cheap
4.7's were either really good or really bad. They really needed regular oil changes for a long life. Nope, I wouldn't transplant one.
