Mostly the strut rod bushings are shot.I think I have tracked down the issue, a little of a few things. Just though while I had it apart for new brakes, I would look into this. Thanks
Ohh..Ok..I was thinking that...
When I did the front end on the GTS, I found out that the Urethane bushings are to big, could not get the nut started on the front. Ended up using some good Moog bushings. Just a heads up, Tim

Did you swap to disk brakes??
On the later cars which are often donor cars for disk brakes (73+) have different strut rods. Some are coarse thread and some fine thread, they are slightly different enough to cause a problem like what you are talking about. Had the same problem when I swapped disk brakes from a 75 duster to a 69 dart.
So I need to grab strut rods too for when I swap the polara's brakes
Sure, I understand, I did go to 73+ disc, But I was using the original strut rod bars... Still no go , with the urethane
