71andDone, very nice car and very impressive
Is that all motor? What rear tire are you running?

Update, Barbie went 9:18 @ 148 MPH. 5K altitude, 90+ degree's. Easy 8:70-8:80's at sea level. We run 3.5 teethes faster at any sea level track. Our clocks are NHRA altitude adjusted...(Super Street is 11:10 index, instead of 10:90).

2800+ pounds, naturally aspirated. No power additives, single 1150 dommy on alky

Check out the light!

I don't have the "full" spec of my mates '68 Cuda but its back halved, 14.5x32's, 540ci all ally motor, -1's, .780ish Roller run on Methanol, Rons toilet, 727, front coil-over susp, makes around 850hp and has run a best of 8.77@152...runs 8.80>90's consistent@150>151....fastest Door Mopar we have here currently NA.

Yeah very similar, cool car you have.........he is 1 of only 2 Mopar racers that can run in the 8's NA, the other is a '69 Dart, again I don't have all the spec but I think its very light, 512 wedge, -1's on alky now, Comp .650-290@.050 SFT cam last time I asked, big tyre/front coils, Glide, SV1 carb, runs 8.90's@150...all the other fast Mopars we have are at least .5/sec slower some with 572 motors.

Hi...What track do you race at. Do you know Lee Chiles. His Valiant is a car I built and raced here. He ended up with it.
He has been pretty successful with it.

I haven't raced since 1991 Chris but visit SPR regularly, still got an interest in it, especially the Tech side of it and know some of the racers from back in my day as well as the new blood....yes have spoken to Lee briefly, car is quite consistent and he has done well in the brkt wars, motor is quite mild if I remember correct except for the CR, think he said it was 12.2:1 which made me remember it, runs 11.0's, nice looking car.

You had a great package going on. Looks like it worked good.Yes, Lee's car is 12.5 ross pistons, Eagle rods, stock steel crank. I had that engine in 3 different cars. Called it Frankenstein. I made a LOT OF MONEY WITH IT IN ALL THE CARS. IT IS A 69 hp rb, 630 comp ROLLER, 1.6 ROCKERS, one of the 1st 3 sets of BULL DOG HEADS, AND I RAN AN M1 INTAKE. I BELIEVE HE MAX WEDGED THE HEADS, AND RUNS AN iNDY INTAKE.It has a JW glide.Sorry, hit the caps, too tired to re-type.I ran mid 9's in the Daytona, and 10:70's in the duster. here are 2 pic's
Cheers M8

Yes it worked good however from what I've learnt over the years the 90/10's were wrong for the car, the cam was too big for the comp., the intake valve closed @90deg!! so I only had about 128psi CP, to little air in the slicks etc.etc., would love to get that combo back today and put all the things right, raise the comp to 12.5 or a smaller dur. cam, get rid of that Team G for a Victor, put a 1050AN on it or a Dom, and a 5000 stall, reckon there would be a mid>lowish 10 in it possibly, that would put some of the other Mopar guys with 500+ci motors to shame, as most are only just in the 9's-low 10's with eddy/victor ally heads with similar weight cars. I parted the car out in 1993 as couldn't sell it turnkey and it hasn't been seen since, so thats not going to happen unless I build it and the cost today would be huge, the whole car at the line including buying it owed me around £9000 ($11300), it would cost near that just to get a back-half job done today....... I'll tell Lee I spoke to you when I see him next, all the best......Les

Big deal?!?!
How did you do it?
What parts did you use?
That’s what the thread is here for!
Come bud! Where’s that list?
:mad::lol:

Its almost my first post
540 mega block, 13 to 1
Comp solid roller
440-1 appear to be unported
TD rockers
4150 indy intake
1250 dominator

Glide, 4.56, 4 link, strut front sus, 33 tire
Tube chassis mild steel 7.50 cert
Super lite. Engine does make much power. Figure with some port work and a different cam I should be able to pickup the time I need

Weight is 2450 with me. Where is your home track?

That is light. That is what mine weighed when I bought it WITHOUT me in it. I added probably 150 lbs, then lost 110 with aluminum block. I weigh 220, so I figure I am little over 2800...perfect for S/ST. Need to scale it again.

I am all steel, even back bumper, except hood, trunk and front bumper. Car originally had a blown Hemi in it, been in the 6's in the 1/4. Chassis became outdated. Only cert. to 7:50 now

Spokane County Raceway

Pulled my intake yesterday to look at my heads and figure out a game plan.
Intake opening appears to be standard 440, at least the same as a 2891 victor intake right out of the box. But the heads are untouched. Feeling pretty good about next season. I'm looking at modern or flow tech 2 to do the port work. Anyone else good with -1s I should be talking to?
And bye bye 4150 intake with my 1250 dominator

I have t&d rockers on mine but those look great! What kind of numbers did you get on your -1s? Is he a member on here or does he have a shop?

He has a shop in Post Falls. Flys under the radar! Not a member here. They flow 383/289 @ 700 lift. About all your going to get without heavily modifying them (welding and changing ports).
I also went to 2.25 valves. He said it would have been better to stay with the 2.19. Just repeating what he said.
When it got down to the end, he scribed them to the block, and went out as far as he could.
